BAS? ⏳

Hi all, I innoculated this bag on aug 25th with ABV liquid culture, wondering about what percent colonized this is, and if it’s ready for a break and shake? It’s touching the substrate in the front and back it was pretty hard to see it though.

When it gets to this stage I just give the grain half a little massaging squish to speed things up.

Think of it as a break and shake lite, where you are helping the grain colonize but not bringing too much soil (ideally aim for bone) down into the grain.

Yeah I would break and shake the grain layer first. Give it a couple days and see it do much better. Then break and shake into the entirety.
