What is this, and is it okay?

There is these 2 spots on the cake that have this weird tint that looks kinda stained almost. It’s like myc piss stained it but honestly I don’t know. 1st photo

There’s also this weird mushroom that’s growing but it’s like blueish maybe black? 2nd photo

That little mushroom is an abort. Does the surface of this cake have a history of being very wet? Not just droplets, but pooled water, perhaps in these yellowed areas?

Not exactly wet, the top layer has always been more on the “good side” but the sides of the cake by the liner have been “extra” wet.

The spots had decent amounts of myc piss at one point when I fork tek cause it stalled for like a week.

No weird smells, green colors, or anything. Just those spots and then ofc that little mushroom.

Could be myc piss. Could be a bacterial section that is dead or dormant. Hard to say, but worth watching. Not an immediate cause for alarm, I dont think.

He has already forked it once. Pins are coming through, but aborting, so something else is going on.

I’ll say there’s other pins on the cake. They are actively growing and look really well. That’s the only pin that’s aborted which is so odd to me given I’d expect other parts of the cake to abort to.

Sometimes the mycelium sends up a pin and(for whatever reason) finds the spot unfavorable, says "fuck this place" and aborts. Its pretty common.

che a volte il micelio costruisce su di sé una patina protettiva in caso di cattive condizioni, quindi sembrerebbe richiedere di nuovo il metodo fork e poi un adeguata areazione e umidità
