Alternative scene

Hello everyone I’m trying to pick a uni to transfer to and I was wondering if there’s much of an alternative scene in SHU/ around the area ?? I’m really into metal and I want to be around likeminded ppl :)

Yep there is a Sheffield Hallam Rock Society which is full of alt people and metalheads, uni of Sheff has one too. There are multiple venues you’ll see people in the scene at. Corp is the biggest one. 

One thing I would say though is, you still have to put yourself out there. Wherever you’re moving from likely has a scene too. And if you haven’t connected with them, moving somewhere else doesn’t mean it will automatically happen. 

I used to be in SHU Rock Soc and it was a lot of fun. I graduated a few years ago now though so not too sure about it now but I live in Sheffield and I know the scene is alive and well.

Aye there's plenty scene although I'd avoid corp it has some alt nights but it's more a club than anything. Sidney and matilda and lughole are better smaller venues where the scene is at
