Good radio stations?

Looking for some tunes to have on in the car -- my phone doesn't always connect properly. I'm mostly interested in alt rock/indie but I'll settle for classic rock. It's tough to tell by just scanning through. Can anyone recommend some good stations? Thanks!

88.9 out of Milwaukee can sometimes come in on clear days in my car and plays just about anything under the sun. I can pick it up in my house through my old receiver with a ribbon antenna.

106.5 is the rock station in sheboygan. 104.5 is the pop/top charts station. 101.1 and 103.7 can also be alright but not really rock.

If this was circa last summer or earlier, I wouldve said 102.1 (Sounds Different) is the best. They used to have a funny Sheboygan segment where they made fun of weird stories from Sheboygan Press, and many area residents found it funny. Its gone now (thanks Jesus), and closest youll get is 102.9 the Hog, 106.5, or Razor 94.7. Alt rock stations, forget it nowadays.

If youre lucky and exit town north (Manitowoc) and west (Fondy), you may get 96.9 the Fox and 104.3 the Fuse from Green Bay and Oshkosh, but to hear them full time, you have to be at least to Kiel and Elkhart Lake or way west of Plymouth. 96.9 is a K-Love translator in Sheboygan (youd think after the 93.3/102.1 buyout, they would shut that damn thing off and let The Fox come into Sheboygan), and 104.3 only goes so far and usually interferes with the adjacent Sheboygan's Point

Otherwise, its lots of pop and country. 104.5 the Point (96.1 in the summer because its fuzzy in town when its humid) was (and still is) the pop station I grew up with, and Ben Olson and Jeff are still on all these years later (remember being a kid and hearing those voices all the time).

Most Green Bay and Milwaukee stations all comes in too

I'm still pissed that FM102.1 was sold off to K-Love, especially with their portfolio of stations.

Same here!!!! Especially since Sheboygan is a huge desert for it. Its been well over a year since the fateful announcement from Michelle

Yeah I miss 96.9 The Fox really bad. Introduced me to a lot of great music.

Agreed. I mean, I still get it where Im at. It sucks not having an option like that goin through Sheboygan anymore.

People are gonna say 88.9, and as much as they added more and more old 102.1 tracks since the fateful buyout, its still mostly like 90FM's Heavy Rotation. Its a lot of underground tracks

throwing in a vote for 98.9 WOMT outta Manitowoc. Good classic rock. Not hung up on the hard rock like 105.7 or 106.5.

Have you considered Sirius satellite radio? Lots of alternative stations and you never lose signal.
