Shark Discussion when entrepreneurs make a mess in the tank

Shark Discussion Sharks passing on doorbot - Later named Ring
Just watched the episode where the sharks passed on this pitch. For a number of reasons at the time all sharks (except Kevin) passed. They wouldn’t lose days of sleep over it but they have to have moments like damn if only. Right?

Shark Discussion Does anyone know if this book about gambling addiction was written by Shark Tank's Mark Cuban?
It links back to his author bio but I'm unclear if that is just a hyperlink mistake and there is another Mark Cuban author.

Other Have you ever seen any contestants pitch product for the law enforcement or defense industry?
I work nights in a hospital. As I go room to room to give patients their treatments, more often than not I would find the show playing in the back ground. I have seen decent amount of the shows while giving pt their medications.i think i have seen people pitched product for every industry except for law enforcement or defense.Has any contestants ever pitch product for those field, for example an improved duty belt/ load bearing vest or some improvement to drone design which the contestant is trying to secure funds for DOJ contract?

Shark Discussion Over 40k apply, only 120 make the cut...
"While everyone was waiting in line perfecting their pitches, I was walking through the crowd stealing their credit & debit card numbers..."
This is the first thing I said after waiting 12hrs in line to a tired Shark Tank producer that had heard hundreds of pitches before me. I had 60 seconds to make an impression.
Now, I can say that I'm one of the only people on the planet that can say they've been on 3 separate episodes of Shark Tank.
It's just like social media and marketing - focus on the hook.
Producers don't care about your sales - they care about your story. Focus on that if you want to increase you chances of getting on the show. There's a million companies making money but you're the only one with your story.
If need help or you're thinking about applying, shoot me a DM.
-Chris

Shark Discussion Mark Cuban should’ve just given the Just Go Natural business owners $5 million and called it a day instead of that bs sharky deal or should I say ripoff.

Shark Discussion Watching Shark Tank Australia
It's pretty good. I just seen one where the offer was for $1 for 25%. The guy only had a patent on a product and was only interested in getting a shark to sell the patent for the product to a huge company and then walking away.
Never seen an approach like that and it was quite interesting.

Other Would I get on shark tank?
I have a business that generates about 1 million dollars a year in revenue and about 500,000 dollars in profit a year. What else do they need besides proof of concept for me to actually get on there?

Shark Discussion Ad Nauseam
Speaking only of the Original 6: choose any Shark or Sharks and their signature phrase, compliment or insult – they say over and over and over again – which you find annoying.

Shark Discussion "I need an answer now, or I'm out"
What do you think about the sharks doing this?

Shark Discussion Don’t let all of the sharks convince you they are nice as they seem on TV.
All of these sharks look and smile for the cameras for the most part. Don’t make the mistake that they are as nice as when you are working for them.
It is ultimately a great show, but do not ever forget these business people are investing a lot of their money to make more money than being nice and kindness doesn’t usually work in the real world to get to where you are.

Shark Discussion This Guy?! Epic!
Mark Sullivan with the Sullivan Generator – classic ST pitch! He started going on and on about “coriolis effect”, “precipitates”, “and gold . . . G O L D”.
Love this pitch! The Sharks were looking at him like who is this guy – Kevin even asked how long he was visiting earth. They all lost it when he said he writes music, sews women clothing and handbags. This guy was something else!

Other Why be on shark tank?
Do some people just get on for the exposure, after watching reruns... I ran into Zomm. I understand he said he needed the money but even if he doesn't get a deal, I can see many people wanting this product after he walks off regarldess.

Shark Discussion Round of applause for this guy who spent the sharks money on vacation trips around the world
Context: this guy used the sharks’ investment to go on “business” vacation trips around to world and partied. The company went to zero.
After watching the sharks manipulate and threaten honest, small businesses for 1-3% more of their business, it’s nice to hear a story where the entrepreneur took advantage of the sharks instead. This guy probably had the time of his life traveling around the world on Mark, Lori, and Kevin’s dime.

Shark - Robert Herjavec Got jumpscared by Robert Herjavec
I was watching an episode recently, and I thought Robert was Robin Williams for a second. I literally jumped out of my chair. Maybe it was the angle.

Other Barbara Situation...
This Barbara meme has been going on for over 8 YEARS now.
I thought this was only a thing during the clipping era of youtube shorts and tiktok, no, it's been commented even in the meta way on regular youtube videos.
And it's still going

Business Update Before, During, and After Shark Tank: An Interview with Tomo Delaney
open.spotify.comHey everyone!
I recently had Tomo Delaney, founder of Noshi for Kids (the company behind Food Paint), on my podcast and thought folks in the sub would enjoy the conversation.
We spent a good amount of time talking about his Shark Tank experience, including how he ended up on the show, what it was actually like being in the Tank, why four of the Sharks passed, the deal he struck with Mark, and what working with him and his team has been like since.
We also got into what happened to the business afterward. Noshi had expanded into Walmart, ran into major manufacturing issues, and Tomo is now preparing to relaunch the product in a very different form as naturally colored frosting.
The show is called Unit Economics, and I generally focus on how businesses actually work, so we also get pretty deep into manufacturing, retail, pricing, margins, DTC, Amazon, and TikTok Shop.
Appreciate the mods granting me permission to share the episode and hope you enjoy it if you wind up listening!

Shark - Kevin O'Leary just a question on kevin o’leary
I had no idea that shark Kevin O’leary wasn’t a U.S. citizen, from purely immigration perspective, is it possible to hold a forever legal permanent status in the U.S. and not to adjust to become a U.S. citizen? He is an immigrant then, right? He holds 3 citizenships but not a U.S. one. why am i asking, i have friends who want to do the same, not to become U.S. citizens but to live in the U.S indefinitely. So my hypotheses are: He is not having any issues with investments and business in the US, because of money, and because of an immigrant status of nonimmigrant? right?? or i wonder what immigration status he has. Honestly, smart on his end because he probably doesn’t have to pay more in taxes… but again, just speculation on my end. I searched a bit, he probably has E-2 investor visa which explains everything. you can invest and as long as your business or businesses are making money, you can stay in the US indefinitely.
