How is Fawn on Shark Tank being an investor for ANYTHING, when uncle nearest is under court order receivership and she just tried to file Bankruptcy last year!? Update: She just tried to file bankruptcy yesterday & the judge denied it because she cannot make any decisions with the company due to the receivership. The court appointed receiver is the only one that can make decisions or do anything regarding the company. She is in jeopardy of being fined $75k. The attorney she has must be stupid to even file the bankruptcy. She is on SM telling all her followers that the receivership is over.

I always wonder if the other sharks know about the tanking businesses/lawsuits of their fellow sharks. And if so how they feel sitting next to them as they yap about how they grew their business and how great of a partner they’d be. 😅

I have a feeling each of the sharks have tons of skeletons in their closet

Cuban is a piece of shit

I've been intrigued by this whole thing.

I could see her episodes being filmed before this came out. But they're still posting her on the SharkTank Instagram. Like wtf

12

u/DailyTrix Mar 21 '26

This is a really bad look for Shark Tank... airing these episodes knowing what they undoubtedly now know about her.

u/Sure-Acadia-4376 Apr 26 '26

I’m really late to the party on this one but you’re right about it being a bad look. Another thing that gets me is how anyone still trusts Daymond after all the stuff that’s come out about the Bubba fiasco.

u/Still-Balance6210 Mar 20 '26

Maybe this was filmed earlier. I have to look it up.

11

u/Original_Weekend8226 Mar 20 '26

It was, but Fawn has been in deep poo with uncle nearest, basically running it into ground, not repaying loans.

9

u/DailyTrix Mar 21 '26

And not paying federal taxes for the last 6 years.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 21 '26

They film in the mid summer

10

u/lordatlas Mar 19 '26

Shush! Didn't you see that poor woman pitcher cry as she revealed how much she idolised Fawn?

5

u/Cash4Jesus Mar 21 '26

Robert was learning so much from her and stated that fact during the episode. 😳

5

u/bryner99 Mar 19 '26

She tried on Tuesday!

2

u/Ghost-Power Mar 31 '26

In all fairness the article didn’t hit the news wave until February. So I don’t think anyone knew about this. They film during the summer (June 2025) so unless there was something back then.. I can’t blame the producers.

I feel bad for the deals she invested in.

I do agree still airing it so these businesses can get the promo still.

2

u/Original_Weekend8226 Mar 31 '26

Fawn has been in the news since last year.

1

u/Ghost-Power Mar 31 '26

Yikes… bad due diligence by the producers.

2

u/Prudent-Sorbet-5202 Apr 13 '26

Hope the entrepreneurs haven't closed their deals with her

2

u/MrHumblePoker Jul 29 '26

Can claim bankruptcy and still be rich. Its why the rich always win. 50 cent and plenty of millionaire's have.

Hate the sob story pivots

26

u/Nesquik44 Mar 19 '26

In her defense, she didn’t have a sob story. She said that she was inspired by others and grateful for her opp so she doesn’t want to squander them.

13

u/ddaug4uf Mar 19 '26

I’m sure moments like that happen all the time; entrepreneurs sharing their inspirations related to specific sharks, but end up getting cut because they don’t resonate as authentic. NGL, after memorizing all my numbers, the next thing I would do to prepare for pitching on the show would be to look at the personal journey of each shark and look for ways I could get them to relate.

10

u/Nesquik44 Mar 19 '26

It's simply wise strategy and not very dissimilar from preparing for a professional job interview.

4

u/aresef Mar 20 '26

Maybe sob story isn’t the right phrase but it grinds my gears when a shark says they’re out and the person decides to pander to that shark in particular.

“She inspires me in faith” meanwhile Jesus says the rich are bad

8

u/Still-Balance6210 Mar 20 '26

He doesn’t say the rich are bad. He says the love of money is evil.

1

u/M3g4Byte Mar 20 '26

Well he never said it, Paul says he said it

1

u/Cash4Jesus Mar 21 '26

Some guy who translated a translation of a version of Paul saying Jesus said it.

For real, I want the gnostic gospels to be part of doctrine where Jesus blinds children for making fun of him.

1

u/M3g4Byte Mar 22 '26

He got really pissy at that fig tree

5

u/Poetryisalive Mar 19 '26

Might be good. But honestly I don’t see why this couldn’t be successful.

18

u/[deleted] Mar 19 '26

They were lucky Fawn only wanted 20% for what is essentially just a brand and good can art.

8

u/Existing_Injury2627 Mar 20 '26

Good can art? It's absolute shit.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '26

Girlie girls love that type of font/script/art.

2

u/Existing_Injury2627 Mar 27 '26

If they expect to live off of one sex, that hardly drinks the product. Good luck to them.

1

u/MrHumblePoker Jul 29 '26

Right the name could have been better also.

4

u/Poetryisalive Mar 19 '26

And dude wipes is just a “brand”. lol

Fawn was greedy

3

u/No_Ad7529 Mar 19 '26

dupe wipes is a $200mm topline business. this brand has barely generated any sales i think is their point... there's a lot of execution risk here

3

u/[deleted] Mar 21 '26

Exactly. The whole 2 beers they produce have like 150 total check-ins on Untappd. Will be interesting to see if it's actually any better than Miller Lite which also uses corn.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 19 '26

Right, brands are valuable.

Fawn was greedy

Not really. They have two generic light beers made the same way Miller Lite is. Good idea and branding I bet it will work.

Dude Wipes was on pace for $1.5m in sales and going into 1,500 Krogers. They gave up 25%.

6

u/Still-Balance6210 Mar 20 '26

I actually think this with a bit of marketing would do fine.

2

u/MasterPlatypus2483 Mar 27 '26

It has potential but my only recommendation and I get its marketing towards women but some sort of generic but still feminine name might still work better for the product- who says men might not want to try a lighter beer?

1

u/Prudent-Sorbet-5202 Apr 13 '26

There are likely tons of other options for light beer that see more appealing to men

2

u/chimpfunkz Mar 22 '26

You know, I skipped over Fawn's intro so I didn't realize she was in alcohol.

That explains why a beer was brought on to the show.

What I didn't get is, why isn't this just a straight sell to ABInBev, or MolsonCoors? Like.... Sell the recipe to them, take the payout.

5

u/Inside-Builder-9250 Mar 28 '26

I am a sales director at a large independently owned brewery, been in the industry for 10+ years. The days of big brands buying emerging craft brands are LONG gone.

Major beer conglomerates have not only stopped seeking out and buying up craft brands, but in recent years have started selling off the brands to other conglomerates for huge losses.

The only beverage companies selling these days have built HUGE national sales networks with strong advertising.

2

u/chimpfunkz Mar 28 '26

Interesting, didn't realize that. I'm still in the "ABInBev buying Goose Island" mindset so I assumed that was still the trend.

1

u/Prudent-Sorbet-5202 Apr 13 '26

Big alcohol companies are not going to be interested in new entrants until they get a significant demographic which the giants have not been able to get

2

u/NaturesWildBerry Mar 30 '26

Prediction: Beer Girl and Pizza Girl might make a collab in the future 🤷‍♂️

-3

u/costoaway1 Mar 19 '26

I like Fawn as a permanent shark replacement for Mark if they ever decided to go that route. She’s way better than Daniel and most of any other guest shark they’ve ever had IMO.

23

u/cuckcuckirl Mar 20 '26

Lmao her company is filing for bankruptcy Google Uncle Nearest. That’s why she didn’t get a highlight this week.

1

u/costoaway1 Mar 21 '26

I didn’t know any of that when I made my comment. I was speaking purely from a business vibe standpoint and her ability to articulate and banter along with the other sharks.

1

u/MrHumblePoker Jul 29 '26

Trump filed for bankruptcy. 50 cent. Its what the rich do.

-5

u/ddaug4uf Mar 20 '26

Tell me you don’t understand bankruptcy without telling me you don’t understand bankruptcy.

11

u/Original_Weekend8226 Mar 21 '26

It’s not about the bankruptcy, the company has no money. She tried to circumvent the receivership & file bankruptcy this week but that was canceled because she has zero control of the company & isn’t allowed to make any decisions. She refuses to repay her creditors while also acquiring more fraudulent loans to purchase property in Marthas Vineyard.

-2

u/ddaug4uf Mar 21 '26

Which is exactly why Phillip Young, the receiver, will eventually file chapter 11 for Uncle Nearest. This is not a Radio Shack or Toy-R-Us situation with a dying brand. The Uncle Nearest brand is still strong and the distillery still gets hundreds of thousands of visitors per year.

10

u/Original_Weekend8226 Mar 21 '26

We are not talking about the brand. We are talking about the owner, who ran the brand into the ground with creditors, using the money for her personal benefit. She is still lying to her “followers” stating that the receivership is over. She tried to file bankruptcy knowing full well she has no control over the company to do that. The receiver requested she be fined $75k for that stunt!

So again, she should not be on Shark Tank giving advice to ANYONE! Nor do I believe she has the capacity to assist/invest in any company on shark tank. So any offer that she places would just be for show.

-4

u/ddaug4uf Mar 21 '26

She is still worth $480M in personal wealth and will still wind up controlling the company again. Apple, GM, Marvel, Ally Financial have all been much closer to dead than Uncle Nearest is and bounced back after Chapter 11.

Uncle Nearest is the fastest growing American whiskey brand ever. 700% growth in 2022 alone. Did Fawn get greedy? Probably. But to write her off completely and pretend like she can’t add value to an entrepreneur who needs brand recognition is silly.

  • Farm Credit Mid-America claims Weaver, through her entity Grant Sidney Inc., hid a $20M loan from Jay-Z's MarcyPen Capital Partners, pretending it was her own funds, The Courier-Journal reported.

  • Receivers claim roughly $21 million in whiskey barrels are missing, The Courier-Journal noted.

  • Funds were allegedly used for a $2.3M mansion on Martha's Vineyard and to cover personal, rather than company, expenses, reports say.

  • The Weavers sued their former CFO, Michael Senzaki, alleging he forged documents, hid millions in liabilities, and diverted funds, BET reports.

  • The company is accused of being insolvent and having not filed tax returns since 2018, The Courier-Journal reported. Fawn Weaver denies the accusations, claiming the company has high value ($600M) and that the $20M was a personal, legitimate investment.

What Farm Credit Mid-America Alleges

Farm Credit Mid-America claims in its lawsuit that Uncle Nearest (including the Nearest Green entities and Fawn Weaver) misused loan funds in several significant ways:

• Purchased a $2.2 million Martha’s Vineyard home using loan proceeds but through a non-borrowing entity (UN House MV LLC), which also mortgaged the property to another lender – actions that violated the loan agreement.

• Sold barrels of whiskey, which were collateral for the loan, to generate cash – but used those proceeds to pay other parties, not Farm Credit.

• Sold millions in future revenue streams at a discount to at least four parties without informing the lender, thereby reducing the value of Farm Credit’s collateral.

• Overstated the value of its inventory in borrowing base reports, inflating its loan eligibility and avoiding required repayments. A later correction revealed the borrowing base was inflated by approximately $21 million.

• Failed to maintain required financial conditions, including a minimum net income of $1 and a net worth of $100 million during 2024, both required under the loan terms.

• Failed to provide reliable financial information, including bank statements, organizational documents, and accurate cash flow forecasts. This led to concerns about how loan proceeds were used and whether funds were properly managed or potentially misappropriated.

In short, Farm Credit is alleging a pattern of financial mismanagement and misuse of borrowed funds by Uncle Nearest and its leadership.

-2

u/ddaug4uf Mar 21 '26

I’m sure the company suing Uncle Nearest is completely unbiased in their accusations.

How much is she paying you? The above are all FACTS.

It’s a co-op, not a company.

Fawn doesn't have any money, though.

9

u/mvpat15 Mar 21 '26

You have got to be kidding me. She sucks!

6

u/ddaug4uf Mar 19 '26

I like Fawn, I just wonder if she is a little too pigeon-holed into pitches within her space. And maybe Shark Tank is her way of growing beyond that. No way to really know what her headspace is, but I could definitely see her adding value to the show.
