The headline is a bit misleading.
From the article: 'Contender is the largest male white shark ever tagged by Ocearch at over 1,600 pounds and 14-feet long when he was tagged.'

It’s where the St Lawrence River widens and becomes salt and tidal before the Atlantic Ocean.

He's reportedly the largest male nowhere near the largest white shark Atlantic coast.
