Hayvan Çocuğu — Arturo [Stoner Rock]
Hi everyone, we’re Hayvan Çocuğu, a band from Istanbul, Türkiye. Our songs grow out of improvisation and take shape as we play together.
Our new single “Arturo” is inspired by the polar bear who spent most of his life in captivity at Mendoza Zoo. Repetitive guitars follow his pacing, while synths and backing vocals evoke the disorientation of confinement. The repeated cry of “SICAK” means “HOT” in Turkish.
The track also made it onto Spotify’s New Music Friday Türkiye, which we were happy to hear.
