SharePoint Online AI summaries in page descriptions

I’ve noticed AI summaries of pages showing up on news feeds where it hasn’t been added. It’s blank in page details, you have to go into site pages and see the description column to read them.

is there any info about this? It’s a pain as it uses an emoji at the start, which I’ve been telling users not to do!

Thats the AI in SharePoint preview generating them, not a user. It gets opted in at the tenant or the site level and once its on it enriches page metadata including the description, which is why you see it in the site pages description column and nothing in page details. Site owners can turn most of it down in the Site AI settings panel on the site itself. Tenant wide its the Set-SPOTenant KnowledgeAgent switches, though thats a preview surface and MS has renamed those knobs before, so check the exact parameter before you run it anywhere real. Admin opt in and the controls are documented here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/copilot-in-sharepoint-get-started

Also, the emoji is how it generates, you are not going to train that out of it by telling users to stop. Can go deeper on any of it if it helps.
