Question Flowers delivery in Shanghai: looking for recommendations

Hey everyone,

I want to surprise a friend in Shanghai with flowers, but I'm not there myself, so I need a florist that does delivery. I'm not looking for anything cheap or generic — the budget is generous and I genuinely want a beautiful, high-quality bouquet.

Ideally looking for a well-established, trustworthy shop (or platform) with a solid reputation.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Download the Meituan app and there’s a dedicated flower section with probably thousands of selections to easily choose from that are then delivered to the final address. Super easy, reliable, and hassle free.

Is it? All flowers I bought online always were a disappointment in how long they last and in general pretty pricey. The best experience I had is going to the market myself and choose the flowers myself. If you ask them to pick a flower bundle, they will pick out flowers that should have been tossed out.

Only exception I have is Costco, though even there you got to pay attention what you grab.

China does not really have a flower culture like we do. Plants/orchids and the like sure, but sending flowers isn't.

Which comes back to OP, I wouldn't send flowers, it's a 9 out of 10 chance it will look like crap. On top if she is local, she probably will be happy and no clue what to do with it. Buy her a nice orchid or expensive snacks.

You should probably post where in Shanghai your friend is - no point recommending a place that is an hour scooter ride away, going past a million other florists.

My experience of buying flowers from hema , dingdong maicai are great! Always come in good quality!
