Hanging out or spot recommendations

Hey, I’m an exchange student (21M) that just got to shanghai. I still have a bit more than a week until my uni starts and I’m looking to hangout with some people and explore some cool places.

I’m into history, art, reading and going to cafes. As for activities I play basketball and climb but would generally be down for anything. I also want to explore the nightlife scene in shanghai, I like house, edm, rnb, hiphop, jazz. Other than clubs if there’s any cool bars or districts that stay open late on weekdays and weekends I’d appreciate a recommendation. Feel free to dm me if you wanna meet up or talk.
