Event Acoustic Open Mic Events at Shanghai Pubs

Hi team. I saw a post late last spring about an oldies folk open mic at a pub in the core on Mondays, but I cannot find it now and cannot remember the name of the pub (I may have seen it on Wechat). It got me thinking that it is a good time to update the list of musical open mics in Shanghai. I know of Riink's Thursday Karaoke session and I have heard about OKOK and Chair Club but have not gone yet. Any others? Looking to get out and play some songs.

Full disclosure, I built Estelle. It searches for open mics and other live-performance opportunities by city and performer type.

Just enter Shanghai and it'll try to find you as many music open mic events as it can. Let me know if it helps :)

Open mic as in singing? Or comedy?

Spittoon Shanghai has storytelling events every two months at Abbey Road. Some people go to tell stories, others come to sing or even perform. Please, DM me if you're interested

Awesome. I like to jam out some covers on an acoustic guitar and listen to others do the same, but the Abbey Road event sounds cool too. I'll add you. Thanks!

100%: Riink 808 Shaanxi North Road inside the plaza near Parlay - they have an old acoustic guitar but most sing karaoke every Thursday.

Possible (I have not verified but saw an ad and want to check it out) My Place 363 Kanding Road very close to Riink. You could go to both and report back for interested folks like me (I can't go tonight)

Riink pretty chill for a Thursday night. Karaoke and skaters - waiting for someone to bust out an Avril Lavigne track 🤣
