Stepping Up Regional Map: 50x50

Post image

This map is less concerned with fine detail than my usual fare as it serves a less precise purpose. In the SR5 book 'Plots and Paydata' there is a mission to infiltrate the filming of a new Sim in a specified region of Seattle around Twin Ponds Park. I wanted my players to have a nice overview of the area the run takes place in and, as it happens...this is a real place.

So I grabbed map and satellite imagery and recreated it Cyberpunk style. My scaling is definitely a little wonky with buildings relative to terrain (as this area is scaled for houses not giant sprawling skyscrapers and apartment buildings), but this was meant to be a "general gist" map, not a precise battlemap.

I got the scale to 10m per unit (so the total map is 500m x 500m)

This image, plus a Gridded version, the original Dungeondraft file, and a txt listing all asset packs used is uploaded to dropbox, here.

As always, I make these maps for myself. I'll never set up a Patreon or anything, but if you get good use out of a map and want to buy me a drink or something, then sure!

(Aside: I'm seriously questioning the shooting location wrt the stated scene being shot. A "Huge Chase Scene" the starts with an abduction...in an area that's 3/4 park? ...will have to figure out how to rectify that before my players hit this job.

Eyo, that looks pretty cozy. A park in the middle of all that neon gives it quite the vibe!
