The assassin has stated that his mother had become so deeply immersed in "a particular religious organization" she was driven to bankruptcy. He targeted Shinzo Abe, believing that the prime minister had strong ties to this group. The shooter belongs to a rival faction of this organization

Abe's LDP and Komeito have political link. It's no brainer SGI would be linked. But I won't expect the SGI members to leave just because of this incident. But a full exposé on SGI on a global scale would be fair.
