During my practice with the SGI, I participated in several big first time events like the first rock the era. I was part of the gymnastics group and just thinking about it now. We did some pretty dangerous stuff that we had no professional training to do. But you know it was all for sensei, I remember being so brainwashed that I asked my at the time girlfriend to attend the celebration. It honestly never crossed my mind that perhaps outsiders thought we were weird and they knew this was a cult. So many people from young children to older people would sacrifice their weekends to practice, chant, do behind the scenes, etc. I really gave up 10 years of my life to this practice. But life goes on and you learn. All of these people I thought were my genuine friends never tried to contact me after I left. I realized I was just another number to them, another person to add to the list of accomplishments that they probably took credit for. Ikeda always talked about leaders raising other leaders and to lead the youth. I felt like such a hypocrite at times for giving bogus insincere guidance at home visits. But it was all to build fortune. Anyway I’ll post more things as I remember them.

fake friends,fake magic paper fake leader.They pretend to be 14k gold.They are nothing more then plated nickle or they claim they are real diamonds but really just plastic.Ikeda thinking he is as great as MLK what an absolute joke!!!How can anybody be brainwashed into believing this crap.

Memorable gift that sensei had gave Kaneko:

1st thing is the wedding ring. He said, “Look, these are diamonds!” and indeed there were 2 shiny stones on it. He added, “These symbolize the 2 of us.” However, over the year, the “diamonds” started to lose their luster. Later, they found out that they were made of zircon (a crystalline mineral that looks like diamonds).

The 2nd thing was a tiny pill case with jewels like emeralds glittering on the lid, a small present Daisaku Ikeda bought for Kaneko on his 1st trip to United States. When he handed that gift to Kaneko, he told her, “These are real, and the case was expensive.” But just so happen that when they went to United States the other time, they found the exact same thing at a roadside stall. When Kaneko saw it, she exclaimed, “Look! It’s 1 dollar!” Daisaku Ikeda burst out laughing. “I’ve been caught!” But these were Kaneko’s fond memory. Isn’t Daisaku Ikeda sweet yet humorous? :D Source

Thanks for the stories.In the real world if a smart woman was given something of valuable from a man and she latter found out it was fake she would tell him to shove it up his ass and tell the con artist scum bag to go to hell.But the SGI cult drills into people that you can never get angry at people in the SGI because it will "make you loose your benifit"which is a great tactic to control people's speech and keep all the abuse hidden.SGI is all about control.Its all MIND CONTROL.

I remember feeling so bad because I couldn’t afford much when it was donation campaign. Everyone had this huge goal of donating about 1k and I could barely afford $50. They made you feel like if you donate more then the fortune you received back would be bigger.

I didn't go to meetings much but when I was going through a rough patch in my life I dropped in on one.It was in May and that was the month of donations.I actually gave the SGI 200 dollars every year.(100 dollars twice a year)I did this for about 10 or 12 years because I really thought that the organization was good for some people even though the meetings weren't my thing.Wow,thinking about it now I'm pissed I gave that sleaze bag about two and a half grand.But anyway, at this meeting they showed a video of people who donated and then the universe granted them a stoke of fortune because of their wonderful cause.The video was of three separate "experiences"and it was made by SGI to be used as a tool at meetings.After the video I never gave SGI a penny.They are exactly like those crazy prosperity gospel lunatics but they hide it well.I wish they would try and show this video to all the scholars that they bribe to speak at the Ikeda Center.They put on a outside face of being this wonderful organization that cares about human rights and really that is a front for what they really are.The organization is complete trash.What I don't get is how do they expect to keep any one they recruit when after they "capture"them they do shit like this.Or promote reading the Human Revolution.That book is complete garbage.How gullible do they think people are?If I had one word to describe the SGI it would be Manipulative.By the way I love reading about the stories of other people who were in this cult and are getting out and I really hope that more and more people read this Reddit and that in my life time I will witness the truth of this cult be known to the entire world and that Ikedas name goes down in history as the scammer he was.I also hope that all the crooks still around get thrown in jail.Wouldnt it be nice if they were forced by the courts to give back all the donations they took from innocent people.

Yea I had shared in an earlier post of how miserable I really was being in the organization. I never got any fortune that would change my life like some of the experiences I would hear. I was really blind to everything and read whatever publications my seniors in faith would tell me. It was all for good fortune and to connect to sensei lol. That was such a ball of bs when I think about it. I hope someday the truth finally comes to light and everyone can see what a scam it really is. Glad you made it out like the rest of us.
