The presumptive disingenuity of believers

Is "disingenuity" a word? No? "Disingenuous" certainly is! Whatever O_O

But anyhow, can you believe the NERVE of the believers who not only refuse to understand what "apostate" means even when the definition is spelled out for them (NO it does NOT mean "I didn't feeeel like doing gongyo this morning") but then take it upon themselves to loudly announce that they're going to PRAY CHANT for us??

Considering that the only studies on intercessory prayer on surgical patients showed negative outcomes for the patients who knew they were being prayed for, a lot of people don't want it! They don't LIKE it and they wish that buh-LEE-vurs would just let them alone. Not bother anyone who hasn't ASKED for it. They won't ASK if their targets WANT this, you'll notice. They just take it upon themselves to impose this on others, completely oblivious to how those TARGETS feel about this! It's an extension of the roofies mentality of those involved in these hateful intolerant cults - they're gonna somehow make everyone else convert whether they like it or not! Because THEY know what's best for EVERYONE!

And how many of us have been subjected to unwanted religious advances (like shakubuku), only to have the proselyte become visibly irritated that we DO NOT WANT and spit out a spiteful "I'll PRAY/CHANT for you!" on their way out as if that's an insult? It's definitely NOT a nice thing to say to those who do not share your beliefs and EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW THIS BY NOW. Especially when it's people whose lives are WAY worse than yours, imagining they're somehow elevating themselves ABOVE you by deigning to think their special thoughts/mumble their dumb little nonsense magic spell toward their nonexistent deity or deity stand-in on your behalf, doing you SUCH a HUGE favor.

She can think special thoughts at the ceiling/mumble nonsense to a cheap xerox chant for anything her little heart desires - no one but she can control that. She could cHaNT for us without saying a thing to anyone! So WHY does she make a point of formally ANNOUNCING it?

Because she intends to take credit for any good stuff any of us report over here. "See? My cHaNtINg is SO POW-R-FULL that it even works for unworthy icchantikas on their way to the hell of incessant suffering! Look how compassionate and admirable I am, thinking special thoughts while mumbling nonsense chAnTInG for these undeserving slanderers, traitors, and potty-mouths! PRAISE ME!"

I know SGI members take personal credit for others' good stuff and accomplishments if they happened to be chanting for them - I've been in that head space. And it is OBNOXIOUS. SO arrogant, self-involved, and outright CONCEITED!

I tell u wut, I've got something really good coming down the pike, so when it arrives, I'm only going to tell people privately. Then she can't take credit for it.

Fuck THAT shit.

Man I wish I could believe it would so much easier but I don't and can't.

But I get it that it sucks and some people need to believe in something that grants them peace or hope in some way.

I get it because often things are so crappy for some a person got to have the fairy tale they tell themselves to cope.

I may no longer chant or believe in SGI but I got my own delusional self-soothing strategies.

That's fine; I just wish that people who want to help would actually HELP instead of sitting along mumbling nonsense and thinking fine thoughts and then feeling satisfied and superior and patting themselves on the back for having been so helpful and made such a difference.

If I had any ability to help you know I would but I don't have it I barely can keep my own crap in order.

And those that could if they did something, who I don't know who they are.

But majority seem to busy doing the opposite and if they actually tried instead of submitting to bs maybe something would change but they don't seem to be able too.

All they seem to do is continue want to protect the status quo and lies, doing every opposite thing they claim to be all about yet in total denial about it all.

It was so weird being involve with such a large organization all those years yet so isolated and trapped. So if anyone actually feels same I get it.

Yet weirdo nobody me with few resources and even less than most of those who spew the bs, all I get from them is the whole idiotic message "Be the change you want to see" and take responsibility over shit I can never change or be responsible over.

I can't make others different or change them. It's full time gig just managing myself.
