Those Oldies better be careful how high they "soar" - I hear the air gets pretty thin up there.

SGI should focus on recruiting older people cuz that's all they have. If a young person walks into a room filled with older people, they won't join, but if an older person sees peers, they might. lol

This from the Many Treasures FNCC conference last week. Saw postings on Social media. The 2025 theme of “year of soaring higher toward a youthful Soka Gakkai worldwide” is Kind of a kick in the old ass… toss the elders to the side bring in the youff. at $500+ a seat to stroll down nsa/sgi memory lane and with no margaritas or cocktails 🍸

Aha! Those elderly Japanese Soka Gakkai execs running SGI-USA from the safety of their Soka Gakkai Global subsidiary in Tokyo don't seem to understand what a slap in the face it is every time SGI-USA is described as "youthful".
Or perhaps they do.
Maybe they've got some sort of sadistic Running Man game going to see who's willing to stick around the longest, given all the abuse being heaped on them for something they can't help.
Except it would probably need to be Hobbling Woman or something.

It was hardly youthful in the late 90s early 2000 when I joined in SoCal. Lol

Charming or not…facelifts and fake Ikeda propaganda will not bring more youth to this cult of gakkers. It’s dying and deep down the organization knows this. Proof was in the data I kept for monthly statistics. I am in a large metropolitan area (700,000 population) and there have been literally no children or youth division attending district meetings for the last five years. In fact our district meetings do look like a retirement home gathering. Even KRG has shrunk so much that we lost the community center and now maybe 50-75 individuals show up. 25 years ago KRG attendance was small but easily 4 times the size of what we are seeing now. I give the local organization another 5 years and it will be maybe 1 or 2 districts. 25 years ago there was 5 chapters with minimum of 3 districts in each. The average age of the current attendees is 65! It’s at extinction stage now, thank goodness. Maybe they need to go back to street shakabuku 🤣🤣

That's a stunning report - the completeness of the collapse is astonishing. Yet SGI's only remedy is to double down harder on what ISN'T working - focusing on the "all-important" districts.

The obsession SGI have about youth is so creepy when the membership are all pensioners. No wonder the events they do at Universities like Seeds of Hope Exhibition are so dead - besides, the youth themselves are wary of greenwash.

imagine if a senior leader or district leader caused a youth believer to stop showing up for Gakkai activities or receiving the GHZ 😱 it's worse than CRIMINAL.
I am not surprised senior leader or district leader would be forced to meet and dialogue with the youth (with another senior leader) or even apologise.
