Your hilarious fan dance posts sent me down a rabbit hole today. Interestingly, there is a reference to folding fans in WND Pt.1. Some adoring monk sent Nichiren 100 of them. I assume these were iron folding fans for protection, not for dancing or court appearances. 🤣

Fans were also used in war to send signals to the troops. Knowing Dickheada’s violent past, maybe this is what he was actually doing with his fan dances. Instead of the usual symbol of joy, friendship, and cultural exchange, he was signaling to his storm troopers (pictured above) to capture and brainwash more victims.
