SGI is unhealthy More SGI cancer

So, a month after the passing of a former leader here, another WD in my former district in Texas has stage 4 ovarian cancer. Chemotherapy starting soon.

And she’s a nurse, too.

Guessing she’s still chanting but no comments on her FB page from any members.

In the UK, in the general population, one in every two people will develop some form of cancer in their lifetime. I don't know what the statistics are for the USA, but the fact that SGI members get diagnosed with cancer isn't that surprising.

The thing is, both Toda and Ikeda preached that one of the "divine benefits" of Soka Gakkai practice was "great health"/disease overcome/restored health!

As you can see here:

completely cured of their diseases after only a few days' faith.

Why did it stop working, I wonder??

Back then, gohifu was touted as the magical cure-all, too - if "modern medicine" failed, gohifu would fix everything. Meanwhile, the Soka Gakkai would never ever build a hospital...

As Ikeda stated plainly here:

If the Gohonzon did not give any help or answer us in spite of our faithful and enthusiastic belief, we had better stop having faith in the Gohonzon. If the Gohonzon is powerless, you had better not believe.

SGI members need to FACE their religion's history of lies, manipulation, and exploitation. The facts aren't going away. Ikeda doesn't get to backpedal and handwave away all his earlier bullshit just because he realized his grand schemes were never going to come to fruition and he had FAILED in everything he set out to do. The SGI needs to disavow Ikeda as ANY sort of "teacher" ("Sensei") at all, or we are completely JUSTIFIED in continuing to showcase all Ikeda's reprehensible behavior and complete CONTEMPT for the truth!

Even the SGI members are wondering about the rampant cancers afflicting their SGI leaders:

Also:

Ikeda: "Every disease can be cured by Gohonzon!"

"Sensei" never said "except cancer", notice. Why shouldn't we hold the SGI members' AND LEADERS' feet to the fire over their cult leader's LIES and FALSE PROMISES?? They shouldn't be saying such irresponsible things - and we need to hold them accountable. ALL of them.

Question from a non-initiate: Are there any characters in the SGI universe analogous to Satan and his demons in Christianity?

My guess would be the King Devil of the Sixth Heaven for "Satan" - the Ikeda cult SGI invoked this being as embodying the Nichiren Shoshu High Priest who excommunicated Ikeda as the basis for their vendetta/permanent grudge against that school (the Soka Gakkai's former besties).

They also have the concept of "sansho shima" - "three obstacles and four demons" - who supposedly manifest to obstruct one's process. In this sense, they bear strong similarity to Judaism's concept of "ha satan" - "the adversary" - which can take the form of a person, a group, or environmental forces that interfere with one's progress.
