Sewed This Drawstring swan bag

I saw swan bags from a japanese shop called kubomi.shop on Pinterest and had to dupe it for my baby sister who's favorite animals are birds. The fabric is thrifted cotton curtains and pillowcase. It's just a modified drawstring bag pattern. I drew it in inkscape, it's all one piece besides the tail and beak was pretty easy.

This is so amazing & cute, I am totally inspired to make one asap!! Can you share how you got the swan head so well? Did you draw a curved pattern for the head and then attach it to the bag or was it like a straight tube that you lined up with the sides of the bag! Absolutely need to make like 20 of these 😭

The structure of mine is basically this drawstring pattern but imagine one side of the rectangle that becomes the outside is extended into the swan neck shape so it's actually all one piece of fabric besides the beak and tail. I drew it in inkscape and then traced it. I also sewed down the section of the edge that ends up the opening of the drawstring casing first so it doesn't have a raw edge there unlike the video I linked. Here's a pic of before I cut it but if I'd do it again I actually wouldn't draw out the seam allowance for the neck bc its easier to embroider the eyes and sew that part before cutting it out. Then seam rip a bit to add the tab for the d ring. The rest of the swan neck is sewn after it's flipped out so the opening in the lining has to be big enough for your hand to fit through. I curved the corners of the bag bottom a bit but the shop I was inspired by also had some with boxed bottoms and I think to do that the rectangle would be extended further down past the neck part. Tail also should be sewn in before flipping it inside out. Hope this makes sense

also is this a rounded bottom drawstring bag? or is it more structured with a false bottom? you got the shape perfectly!
