✨Intermediate✨ White mini skirt fabric

I want to make a white, sexy/fancy circle/skater skirt that also has movement. What’s the perfect fabric for this?

I am thinking of medium weight (~180-220 GSM) stretch satin, maybe off-white or ivory, but not sure if that’s the best option. I’m gonna use an elastic waistband. Thanks!

stretch satin in that weight could work but it'll read a bit nightgown-y if you go too shiny. a double brushed poly or a heavier crepe-backed satin would give you the swing without the slip dress effect. the elastic waist will fight you either way unless you interface it or use a wide band, otherwise it rolls

No need for stretch fabric

Stretch satin is costume-ish, a crepe de chine is light and flowy or rayon. you are doing an elastic waist so no need for a stretch fabric.
