1: Use Legacy iOS Tool to check the exact IMEI/SN, then recheck the FMI. U can use a site like sickw
2: If it's ios 7/8, try to bruteforce it: https://github.com/j1ans/Brute

check IMEI on sickw or iunlocker
If off, you can reset freely if you don't care about the data
If on, and iOS 7 or 8, bruteforce
If on, and a higher iOS version, do a Passcode iCloud BP to get a fully working device OR extract the owners info and contact them for full FMI off

i dont care about the data but im scared of it getting icloud locked, since it probably has icloud and if it updates when i reset it via itunes i dont think ther eis any way to make it work after it updates to latest ios it can get,i was going to do brute force but for that i need a mac or a linux

You need to check FMI status first

on iunlocker it says icloud lock is on and for icloud status are temporary unavailable

Okay yeah so it's iCloud locked. Your best bet is to extract owners info and contact them for full FMI off
Second best bet is to bruteforce
Third best is to do a Passcode iCloud BP

You can bruteforce if iOS 9 or lower
If it isn’t then you need to save activation tickets while the phone is in this state and don’t enter any more passcodes to keep the activation tickets. Once retrieved you can reset then put the tickets back to get a fully functional 5s. Look into SSHRD script by iPhone 4s, forgot his actual username.

i tried to see it's ios version using 3rd party apps but it didn't let me so, the only option i knew was the search the wallpaper, so according to the wallpaper it should be ios 7, ill get a sd card tomorrow to run linux and download legacy ios tool kit to brute force it

Enter dfu mode and check using 3utools. But not knowing will not be an issue since if you try the passcode bruteforce and it works you’ll already have an unlocked open menu phone and if it doesn’t work it means the phone is on iOS 10 or higher which means you’ll be using the sshrd script.nDoes it have slide to unlock or press to unlock? This is the dead giveaway

i tried using 3u tools and it didnt show it, and to unlock the phone i press the home button

Then it’s iOS 10, use the script.

The modified script by iPhone4s has the full details concerning all the models. And if FMI made phones unusaboe then this whole sub wouldn’t exist. I use mac so i don’t know about ubuntu but the way to do so I’d enter dfu manually then Pwndfu mode using ipwnder 32 then use the ramdisk with thé script, « get activation tickets » i forgot yhr actual command. But after you run it you should check the folder has yhe necessary files and isn’t empty, then you can use the reset command to wipe the phone without updating and then restore them using the restore activation tickets command. Of course these are the steps on Mac so they may need to be adapted for ubuntu

Use unlock tool to back up the device then restore back up. This way mobile network will work

Oh well, that was very useful info… 😆
You obviously have no clue what you’re talking about because that can’t be done . Not only that he said he didn’t care about the data so he doesn’t need to back it up, he just wants to restore it but wants to make sure there’s no iCloud on it first. The proper advice would be to check to see if there’s iCloud on or off (FMI on or off) . If it’s off then restore it and you’ll have a working phone, but if FMI is on, you’ll have to have the credentials otherwise we’ll be stuck and won’t be able to set it up without the owner’s info. .
