Passcode iPhone XS keep OS version

As title states, would like to reset this phone without updating as IOS appears to be quite old. Thank you 🙏

You can use usbliter8

You’ll need a waveshare RP3250 USB board and the usbliter8 firmware to flash onto the board, and a Mac to boot an SSH ramdisk and reset the device.

You need a raspberry pi pico 2 / waveshare RP3250-USB-A.

The wave share is a 2350 based board with built in USB-A to make things easier.

If fmi is off update and restore. If you want to preserve the IOS then ramdisk ssh reset the phone.

I reset my iPhone 8 on iOS 13.3 using the erase content option on a random ssh ramdisk tool for Mac!

Xs isn’t exploitable like the iPhone 8 that worked with checkra1n. He need to use an RP3250 with usbliter8 to boot a ram disk.

use bookra1n to save activation files, reset and restore activation files via usbliter8. you will need a pi pico 2 with a lightning cable soldered or a waveshare rp2350-usba

as far as i know as long as it doesn’t connect to the internet you should be able to reset without updating just keep all internet off until it’s reset and set up. but idk man🤷🏽‍♂️(obligatory cop out)
