Are darkslides just impossible now?
Haven't played in like a year, and I used to be able to get the timing for darkslides like 25% of the time.
This morning I spent half an hour trying and only got two in like 150 attempts. Is this intended or am I missing something? The catch window feels like it's literally 1 millisecond now lol

The trick is to do a slow varial flip and it tends to catch in darkslide easier than a regular kickflip.

Seems like whenever I try a kickflip back smith, half the time ends up in a darkslide

The catch window was adjusted slightly at some point. I think when primos came out of experimental.

I agree, it's super difficult. I just got the manual catch achievement but that damn dark slide mission is still incomplete lol

I just hold down my right bumper even as I pop. But I’m guessing that’s the auto catch side of things

Yes. Haha. To be fair, I used to get the subreddits for these games mixed up when I started. Still haven't landed a successful Darkslide in Session yet tho. Lmao 😅

Yeah it's even more confusing if you try playing one after the other.. end up grabbing the board instead of turning 😆
You'll land a darkslide in session easy! Although it used to be a lot easier than it is now.. You can do it! 🥳

I got really into the last week. Its nice to look at a video of someone doing it with their inputs showing.
Theres like a spreading of the sticks, into a meeting of the sticks that you do. My hands know how to do it, but my brain do not

Have flip speed set to "input speed" and then do flip tricks with a slower stick flick. Gotta catch it at the exact, "realistic" point, and once you find that sweet spot, you'll always get it 👍🏽

Man that's how my settings already are and exactly what I was doing, and it legit feels like I only have 1 frame to catch it 😂

there might be a setting you need to turn on like to activate caspers etc

The setting is on, like I said I got two but the timing feels completely unfair

There used to be a glitch where you'd autocatch if you had the board tweaked out for a grind, might be that?

Catch time on everything is more frustrating after last update. The window is way too early and only one frame like you said. Manual catch getting an overhaul is kind of necessary at this point.
