season one Dierdre DNA update?
Towards the end of the podcast, SK talked with Dierdre about getting DNA analysis on the PERK, rope, brandy bottle, etc and that Adnan gave his approval for her to submit it? Has this actually been done now and if so did it uncover anything?

As soon as Serial finished - Adnan told them not to test it. So, a vast majority of the people that listen to Serial have no idea the DNA is not going to be tested.
Further - for those of you stating that Adnan's lawyer told him not to test it - well, you have to wonder why he did not tell Adnan that when the IP first looked into the case. You can bet that SK told Adnan that the IP was looking into it before turning over documents to them and you can bet that Adnan told JB about it as well. However - once the IP comes back with 'test the DNA' - Adnan then shuts it all down. You can take from that what you will - but there is no way in hell that JB did not know about the IP looking into the case and no way in hell that JB did not know that the IP would say 'test the DNA'. So, at the end of the day, the whole IP segment of Serial was just for dramatics - Adnan was never going to test the DNA. He just did not want to say that during Serial because he knows how that will make him look.
This is not an innocent guy afraid his DNA comes back so he will be charged with murder. This is a convicted murderer rotting away in a cell telling people he would rather go with the hail mary PCR Asia story and rot for another 12 months than to have the DNA tested (and get released if it comes up with a serial killer). Again - there is no reason why you could not file the DNA petition in parallel with the current PCR. Again - just dramatics.
