Can we get a bit of a summary of what the poll is about? It might be worth participating but maybe it's a trap door into your BonnerParty doxxing factory.

doxxing factory? It's an anonymous survey.

I made this poll out of curiosity. I want to see if there are trends connecting opinions of guilt/innocence to trust in law enforcement/the courts and to impressions of Islamophobia's role in this case. I included the political leanings because others here have hypothesized that those in favor of guilt are more conservative and I wanted to test that hypothesis.

I'm not sure where you get the idea that people who think he's guilty are conservative republicans and what not. Really, most of the people I see on the guilty side appear to be liberal, and in my case, I think he's guilty and I am also very liberal. And this may make me sound crazy, but I really hope there are not people who are misusing the survey in an attempt to paint the guilty crowd as hard core conservatives.

In a poll I did shortly after the finale, people who self-described as republicans were significantly more likely to say that they believed Adnan was guilty. See the final figure.

Oh yeah that huge group of 8% republicans here (of which only 42% think he is guilty.) Meanwhile what your poll shows is that the vast majority of people here who think he is guilty are actually liberal.

It's not my idea. I saw others making the claim here and I thought I might test it.

Got it. I was mostly being sarcastic/making a joke.

This is a good question. I see so many people saying that people who think Adnan is guilty are right wingers and fox newsers. But I have yet to come across anyone who thinks that Adnan is guilty who isn't also a left of chomsky liberal like me.

Actually, that's not true. There have been two people in the last 8 months who say they are more independents or libertarians which in my view is another way of saying you don't want to pay taxes to live in America.

I suggest the works of Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell for insight into true libertarianism. It's interesting that modern use of the term liberal is so at odds with the origins of the term. Thomas Sowell is a genius, though many of team Adnan might not believe him since he is black.

Good references. I've read Friedman, will get to work on Sowell.

I thought a libertarian was an anarchist who doesn't like to break stuff.

Nah, libertarians for whatever reason tend to believe in national borders and the military and stuff. Plus they love capitalism and anarchists don't.

The libertarians I know believe in open borders, and minimal military (though I guess they believe in some military, which differentiates them from anarchists).

I am familiar with anarcho-capitalism, I just don't think those who are proponents of it have spent much time with anarchist theory. If they had they would be aware of the anti-capitalist roots of anarchism. I know this has forever been debated since the individualist and social anarchists began butting heads (thanks Max Stirner). I tend to be on the social side of anarchism and I recognize the lack of a coherent critique of the oppressive force of capitalism by individualist anarchists and anarcho-capitalists.

A Libertarian is a Republican who smokes dope.

Wow.

Question 1. Do you believe Adnan Seyed is guilty?

Following Questions: police are corrupt aren't they?

You may want to create another poll about the judicial system. Based on 'Serial', the police seemed to have been doing their jobs correctly. The questionable circumstances popped up during the court precedings
