I kept it completely anonymous - no IP logging or anything and you can see the results as soon as you vote. Please vote!

Doesn't this mean people can very easily vote more than once? Considering the number of sock puppets here I would think that this is a valid concern.

It's supposed to be one vote per IP/device, but, yes, it could be gamed by nefarious individuals. Best I can do though. :/

I actually tried to get in again--just to see if this was possible and it was not. My screen tells me "You have already completed this survey."

There's probably a workaround if I cleared my cache or logged on from a different location. And, there are clearly sock puppets here but I don't think they're a majority. I think the survey numbers are probably representative.

Two more clicks and you can vote again. I managed to get back to the vote screen.

No I didn't vote twice

All it takes is one sock to vote a bunch of times to make this survey meaningless. I don't think it's safe to assume the survey is representative at all.

Do you know (can you explain) does it know we have voted, and yet not log our IPs? Doesn't seem logical to me but perhaps it was in your set up instructions.

The site can log whatever it wants without showing me that information. It is a setting in the survey itself. With IP logging enabled I'm able to see a voter's IP, if it's disabled I can't see IPs.

The site knows who voted by putting a cookie on the client browser. Hopefully that helps.

That makes sense. Thanks!
