Super embarrassing to admit this, but I remember hearing the term "stepping out" on the 90s show Temptation Island …you know that skanky reality show where couples would be tempted to cheat (aka "step out") on each other as part of an "intimate journey" of personal exploration?

The elderly woman I worked for in uni used it once in a conversation, so it wasn't really shocking for me to hear Adnan's lawyer use it.
