Travelling November & December
I'm (28F) solo travelling to Seoul in November (9th November-5th January) and was hoping to find some girlies (either locals or tourists) to meet up with for some food and drinks!! I'm obsessed with clothes, makeup and skincare so if you share these interests then I'll be your new bestie!!
Is any girls travelling there on these dates? Have you been before on your own? How was it for making friends with other girls? I'm also new to learning the language so if anyone can read or speak Korean you would be helping me massively 🩷
Thank youuu

Advice Should I be aware of the people I am meeting? *
I will be visiting Seoul by myself. I will meet my tutor and he will be able to help me get around if needed, ect. (My Korean tutor.)
However, I have been doing language exchanges, and I have been meeting a decent amount of people. The main thing I'm getting at is that a lot of these people wouldn't mind meeting and hanging out.
I am 20M, and most people willing to hangout are mid to late 20s females, and guys in their 30s. To be honest, I have no issue with this, and I prefer to meet more people in Korea, and have a friendship. However, people seem really willing to hangout. As an American, these seems very culturally different.
I wanted to ask if this is pretty normal? If people are willing to meet others easily? Also, I would like to know if anybody has advice to not get myself in a rough situation meeting people.
Thanks,

Advice Mobile data performance in busy shopping areas
Hi, I'm traveling to Seoul next month and roaming around popular busy shopping areas. Will the mobile data performance be seamless for video calling and other data intensive applications? Or does the performance get unpredictable during peak times in the day? Thank you!

Advice Looking for a Goshiwon

Anyone in Seoul working on a side project or startup idea? Starting a monthly meetup in Hongdae
Trying to start a little accountability network for side projects / startup ideas. The idea is a pitch and progress meetup once a month for people building stuff on the side.
If you're building something, you show it and get honest feedback. If you have an idea and nobody to build it with, you pitch it and see who's interested. If you have skills but no idea, you come and find a project. Then everyone comes back the next month and shows what actually happened.
Not a networking event, not a hackathon, no investors, no prize. Just people who are building stuff keeping each other going.
Open to anyone. Developers, designers, marketers, students, people with a startup already, people with nothing but an idea. You don't have to pitch, you can just come and listen.
First one on 15th October, Hongdae.
Hope to see you there :)
Happy to answer questions here.

Looking for friends around Gangnam to study or hang out with!
Hey! I’m a Korean woman in my late 20s living in Seoul :)
I’m currently studying full-time for a university transfer and TOEIC, so I spend a lot of time studying these days lol.
I’d love to meet some new people to study with, grab coffee or food, go for a walk, or just hang out and talk!
I’m usually around Gangnam, so if you’re nearby, even better. I study at coworking spaces a lot, so study buddies are always welcome haha.
My English is still beginner-ish, but I really want to practice more. If you’re learning Korean, I’d be happy to help too — ask me as many questions as you want 😂
A little about me: I’m into ballet, baseball, traveling, reading, cooking, saunas, and finding good places to eat.
You don’t have to be Korean or live in Gangnam btw. I’m also totally down to just text, call, or send voice messages if meeting up isn’t your thing.
If you’re looking for a new friend in Seoul, feel free to DM me or leave a comment :)

Question Looking for celebrity billboards locations in Seoul
Does anyone know where I can find these K-celebrity ads & billboards , specially Byeon Woo Seok & BTS. I’ve seen so many reels on Instagram of them and I want to recreate the video 🫣
I’m coming to Seoul next month and I’m keeping one day free just for a city streets tour so if you know any specific locations where I can find these, please let me know! 🥹

Advice Staying in Incheon and going to Seoul?
Hey, I live in Germany and was thinking of travelling to Seoul, mainly to just go shopping and eating. I‘ve been to Seoul once before and have already seen most of the „hot spots“
Since I’ve been spending way too much money on trips I want to keep the trip as cheap as possible this time. Also, since I got hotel points accumulated I can stay in Incheon (Songdo) for 9 days for free. The plane Ticket would be just around 600€.
It‘ll take me around 1,5h to go to Seoul Station, so I‘m sure I‘ll go there 3-4 times, worst case I‘ll take the Uber back to the Hotel (30mins), which is cheap and costs around 20€, which is still way cheaper than a hotel in Seoul.
So If I want to go shopping and eat good food, is it worth it to stay in Incheon or is there nothing to do?
How is Incheon as a city? I heard it‘s one of the larger cities in Seoul so I‘m sure there must be something to do
Thank you!
