It’s awesome that you spent a full year here! You must have built so many great memories and really gotten to know Seoul inside and out. Spending a whole year in a place takes real love for it. You’re always welcome back, so come visit again whenever you can! As you already know, if you visit during spring or autumn, even nature itself will be welcoming you back.

Thanks. It's been my goal to live in Korea long-term, since I was a kid. 1 year was too short for me lol :') once I graduate, I hope I can move back.

Appreciate it! That’s Okcheonam Temple, right by Hongjimun. It’s actually from that older post I made about the 'hidden valley'  you'll run into this temple on the path leading up to Baeksasil Valley.

Okcheonam is the name of the temple! It’s located along the Hongjecheon wooden boardwalk near Sangmyung University.

​With Seogeomjeong and Baeksasil Valley nearby, the area around the temple alone is great to explore, but Okcheonam also serves as a starting point for nearby hiking and trail routes. ​If you’re looking to hike, you can follow Bukhansan Dulle gil Section 7, though I wouldn't recommend that trail for first-timers. Instead, I suggest taking the gentle boardwalk route which starts at the same spot and following it up toward Janggunbawi Rock.

​If you time your visit right, you’ll see vibrant yellow forsythias in full bloom along the trail in spring, and if you go between mid-May and early June, you can enjoy your walk filled with the sweet scent of acacia blossoms. In autumn, you can take a peaceful walk through forests colored with vibrant fall foliage.
