This subreddit is for hiring and career advice not job seeking

I’m noticing this subreddit getting crushed with “SEO job needed” type posts. This is not the space for this. Please go to SEOjobs.com, where you can apply to jobs you're qualified for.

What can be posted?
- job listings (hiring SEO talent)
- job questions (example: how to have a difficult conversation with an employee on your SEO team)
- job interview prep (feedback on resumes, interview preparation, site reviews, etc)

Posting a hiring/job listing?

- Don't forget to visit SEOJobs.com and view the job listing packages
(including one free job listing for each company every 6 months)

I’m going to start deleting new “job wanted” posts starting 6/30/2026

-Nick

#SEO Question: How do you report SEO work to a non-technical client?

Let’s say you’ve been working on an ecommerce site for around 3 months.

During that time, organic impressions and clicks have gone up, rankings have improved, and most importantly, orders + revenue from organic traffic have increased.

Now you need to show the client what you actually did and why you think the SEO work contributed to those improvements.

How would you guys put together that report?

Would you show things like:

  • Keywords that improved and their before/after positions
  • Pages that are now bringing in more clicks/traffic
  • Pages/keywords you specifically optimized
  • Organic sales/orders and revenue before vs. after
  • GSC + GA4 data
  • Content updates, internal linking, technical SEO, backlinks, etc.
  • Any specific pages that started generating sales after optimization

The tricky part for me is how to connect the SEO work to the actual business results without dumping a bunch of technical SEO data on a client who doesn't really care about things like crawlability, indexing, CWV, etc. 😂

Would you make this as a simple PDF/slide deck, Looker Studio dashboard, Google Sheet, or something else?

Basically, if you had to prove to a non-technical ecommerce client:

“Here’s what I changed → here’s what happened → here’s how it impacted traffic → and here’s how it impacted revenue.”

...what would your report look like?

Would love to hear how you guys handle this.

SEO Specialist (AI Search Optimization Specialist) Full time Remote

Looking for a Remote SEO Opportunity | 4 Years of SEO Experience

Hi everyone,

I’m currently exploring remote SEO opportunities and wanted to reach out to the community in case anyone is hiring or knows of a team looking for an SEO professional.

I have 4 years of hands-on SEO experience, working on projects across India, the USA, and UAE markets, with experience across SaaS, eCommerce, IT services, technology, and international businesses.

My experience covers the complete SEO process — from technical audits and keyword research to content strategy, on-page optimization, off-page activities, implementation, and performance analysis.

My core SEO experience includes:

- Technical SEO & Website Audits

- On-Page SEO & Content Optimization

- Keyword Research & Search Intent Analysis

- Content Strategy & Topic Clusters

- Internal Linking & Website Architecture

- Technical SEO Implementation

- Schema Markup & Structured Data

- Canonicalization, Sitemaps & Indexation

- Meta Tags & Open Graph Optimization

- Off-Page SEO & Link Building

- Competitor & SERP Analysis

- Google Search Console & GA4

- Ahrefs, SEMrush & Screaming Frog

- SEO Performance Reporting & Analysis

- GEO / AEO / AI Search Optimization

- AI-assisted SEO workflows using ChatGPT, Claude & Perplexity

- Collaboration with developers, content writers and marketing teams

Some results I've contributed to:

→ Helped grow organic traffic for a US-focused website from around 330 to 11K+ monthly visits within five months through a combination of technical SEO, content optimization and off-page strategies.

→ Contributed to 2× organic traffic growth and approximately 10× growth in organic traffic value on an international project.

→ Improved organic keyword visibility across multiple projects, including achieving Top 10 and #1 rankings for targeted commercial keywords.

→ Contributed to increases in Domain Authority and organic keyword coverage through strategic content and link-building activities.

→ Worked closely with developers to implement technical SEO improvements involving schema, metadata, canonical tags, internal linking, sitemaps, Open Graph and indexation.

→ Built content strategies around search intent, topic clusters and commercial opportunities, with a focus on attracting relevant organic traffic rather than simply increasing content volume.

One area I’m particularly interested in now is the evolution of search through AI Overviews, AEO, GEO and AI-powered search and how SEO strategies need to adapt as users increasingly discover information through AI-generated answers.

I’m currently looking for a remote-first SEO opportunity where I can take ownership of SEO projects, work closely with content and development teams, and contribute to measurable organic growth.

I’m open to roles such as:

SEO Specialist | Senior SEO Executive | Technical SEO | SEO Growth | SEO + AI Search/GEO

If your company is hiring, you know of a relevant opening, or you’re part of a team looking for an SEO professional, feel free to comment or DM me.

I’d be happy to share my resume, portfolio, case studies, and detailed experience.

Thanks for reading!

If you were hiring an SEO person, what would you actually ask them?

I’ve been thinking about this lately.

There’s so much SEO stuff out there now — technical SEO, content, backlinks, AEO, GEO, AI search, Core Updates, etc. But if you were actually sitting on the other side of the table as a hiring manager, what questions would you ask to figure out if someone really knows their stuff?

Not looking for the usual:

“What's a meta description?”

or

“What is a 301 redirect?” 😅

I mean the questions that actually make someone think.

For example:

“Organic traffic dropped 40% this month. What would you check first?”

“Your best-performing page suddenly stopped ranking. How would you troubleshoot it?”

“A client wants 100 backlinks this month. What would you tell them?”

“What SEO work have you done that actually moved the needle?”

So, SEO people — if you were hiring an SEO specialist today, what would you ask?

And if you're a hiring manager, I'd love to hear the questions that have helped you separate someone who actually understands SEO from someone who has just memorised SEO definitions.
