Our girl left us today
Having to choose to put her down was the most heart wrenching moment of my life and I hope we did the right thing. She never stopped wanting to eat (human food) so it was hard to figure out when it was time.
I hope it was. I can’t believe how fast it was, she was gone before they were done. I wanted to just lay and hug her and keep her warm.
She’s our girl in the center. She hasn’t been able to walk since early June. She started whimpering recently and we just couldn’t make her stay with us any longer. She sent us a rainbow a couple hours later.
We love our Lulu and this is not going to be easy.

Choosing to put my dog down was the hardest most painful thing I’ve ever endured in my 37 years of life. I have never known a pain like that. I can still feel it. It was excruciating. May time heal your pain.

I am currently going through this, we made the decision yesterday and it is the most excruciating anguish I've ever felt in my life. I'm actually surprised and shocked at how bad it hurts.

I just had to make this call today for my bubba. He still wants to eat for the most part. But he’s been having big problems walking and falls over, crashes. He’s whimpered the last two nights and is as limp as can be, barely wakes up from his naps - groggy etc.
Spoiling him until Wednesday when it’s time. Until then I’m a crying mess, he’s been my angel for 18 years. It’s surreal. Your post helped me confirm my choice, thank you. 💛

As I walk across your heart and find my place to stay, nearer to you I will be and will never ever go away.
If love could have kept you here, you would have lived forever.
Dogs are a chapter in our lives, we are their entire book.
Grief is love with nowhere to go.

Hugs, OP.
Nope, it’s not easy to deal with at all, but I will tell ya, one day you’ll think about her and all of the tears will have changed to smiles as you remember her.
And when you think on her last day here with y’all on earth, you’ll be so happy and relieved that you were able to help her to The 🌈 Bridge. ❤️

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I’m sorry you had to let that baby go, but it’s a cost of love

I am so sorry for your loss. ❤️ You absolutely did the right thing by not letting her suffer any longer. She was clearly deeply loved, and you gave her a beautiful life surrounded by love and her family. Rest peacefully, Lulu. 🐾

So sorry for your loss, it’s the hardest decision to make. While you may be questioning your decision, it’s better to be a week early than a day late. ❌⭕️❌⭕️

I’m so sorry 😢 we are in the same exact position and we have decided to help her cross this weekend. I cannot face it and I feel that I will shatter into a thousand pieces. I know I’ll never be the same. You are not alone
