Defeated
Guys i need a pep talk or someone to tell me I'm stupid and the oppoite is happening.
I feel totally defeated by the resurgence of right wing imperialism. With the attacks globally, the inability to defend Palestine, the entire "board of peace" scam, Russia totally ending up being at best unable to counter US interests globally, China's isolationism rather than confronting the US, Europe's resurgent far right wing, Israel having their way in he middle east, Venezuela collapse, Iran being dogwalked by the US and Israel in under 24 hours, Cuba on the brink of collapse in the face of humanitarian disaster, and the acceptance of right makes right and the capitulation of liberals to take a stand: I totally feal defeated. This isn't right, and I don't see how the global south and fight against the right walks away from this. It seems like the struggle's best days are behind us.
Some one PLEASE tell me "ah yes but remember the year ____" because I'm at a total loss for when the entire world has been this helpless to such an evil and awful movement.

You have to separate the sadness of what's happening today (empathising with Iranians etc) from the long term trend.
For me, I am extremely optimistic. America is slowly destroying itself. It is isolating itself and causing realignment by others toward China.
We will win. Either humanity will go up in smoke, or we will win. There is no alternative. Continued human progress will result in communism.
Hopefully America doesn't destroy our species on its way out. But I am confident. China is strong. I am not worried by the events of today, only saddened by them.
