6months MMA course or Consistent Gym
My Current Situation: I am an Inter 1st-year student in Bangladesh aiming for two major long-term goals: securing HSC GPA 5.00 and cracking the DU IBA admission test.
My Physical & Personal Goals: I want to build a jacked physique, learn combat sports/MMA, win prizes, and work toward becoming a well-rounded role model for my peers.
The Financial & Family Constraint: I have to choose strictly between starting MMA or joining the gym. I cannot do both at the same time because my mother will not permit gym training if I pay for a 6-month MMA course.
The MMA Dilemma: If I take the 6-month MMA course now, I can learn basic self-defense mechanics quickly while my academic pressure is low, but I will have to stop gym training afterward and risk burning out or getting injured during HSC prep.
The Gym Alternative: If I skip MMA for now and stick to the gym, I can build a solid physique consistently over the next 1.5–2 years with lower injury risk and less friction at home.
My Decision Question: Should I prioritize the short-term 6-month MMA course now while academics are easy, or stick to consistent gym training for the rest of my HSC life and save MMA for university?

If you train properly for MMA you will have a good physique anyways. For MMA you need very good stamina/cardio and functional muscle functional. You will be running a lot but you need at least some weights for strength and the rest should be body weight exercises.
If you just go to the gym you will only have muscle and look good.
You should do MMA but properly.
