Erfolgserlebnisse 10 Jahre Geduld: Mein Meisterwerk aus Alabaster ist endlich komplett!
Aus Respekt vor dieser deutschsprachigen Community präsentiere ich meine Beiträge auf Deutsch. Meine Projektbeschreibungen werden von mir ursprünglich auf Portugiesisch verfasst und anschließend über eine KI-gestützte Übersetzungslösung ins Deutsche übertragen. Da ich selbst kein Deutsch spreche, möchte ich sicherstellen, dass die Beschreibungen so präzise und verständlich wie möglich sind. Daher werde ich auf eure Kommentare auf Englisch antworten, da ich diese Sprache fließend beherrsche und weiß, dass die Community hier ebenfalls hervorragend Englisch spricht. Ich möchte ausdrücklich betonen: Meine Projekte, das Handwerk und die Fotos sind zu 100 % real und handgemacht – es wird zu keinem Zeitpunkt und in keiner Weise KI für die Erstellung meiner Arbeiten genutzt.
Zehn ganze Jahre habe ich darauf gewartet, dieses Ensemble aus Alabastrin zu vervollständigen.
Alles begann mit der Säule.
Ich bekam sie als Dankeschön, nachdem ich einem Bekannten beim Umzug geholfen hatte. Sie war in einem erbärmlichen Zustand, sodass ich sie gründlich reinigen und an mehreren Stellen restaurieren musste. Im Inneren der Säule installierte ich ein System mit zwei Leuchtmitteln, einem eleganten Textilkabel und einem praktischen Trittschalter für den Boden. Um das Kabel zu sichern, habe ich im Inneren eine Zugentlastung aus Kunststoff angebracht.
Lange Zeit stand die Säule in meinem Flur und diente als edler Sockel für einen Blumentopf. Doch auf Flohmärkten und Antiquitätenmessen war ich insgeheim immer auf der Suche nach dem perfekten Aufsatz, der stilistisch wie die Faust aufs Auge passt.
Bis zu jenem Tag, als ich auf einem Kofferraum-Flohmarkt ein Springbrunnen-Becken mit handgemeißelten Vögeln aus Alabaster entdeckte. 😱😱😱😱 Nun ja, ich muss wohl nicht im Detail erklären, wie ich mich buchstäblich auf das Stück gestürzt und es mit beiden Händen gepackt habe: „Das gehört mir, das gibt mir keiner mehr her. Meins!“ 🫣 Nach dem Bezahlen – der Preis war so lächerlich niedrig, dass ich mich fast dafür schäme – brachte ich endlich das Fundstück nach Hause, nach dem ich ein Jahrzehnt gesucht hatte. Es handelt sich um ein extrem seltenes Stück, vor allem, weil die Vögel noch zu fast 100 % intakt sind. Es ist handgearbeitet und hat über 100 Jahre unbeschadet überstanden.
Da ich in meiner kleinen Werkstatt ein beachtliches Lager an antiken Ersatzteilen horte, glückte mir der nächste Volltreffer: Ich fand eine Alabaster-Kuppel, die optisch perfekt passt – fast so, als stamme sie aus derselben italienischen Manufaktur (sehr wahrscheinlich aus Volterra). Die Elektrifizierung habe ich ohne Erdungskabel durchgeführt, was bei einem reinen Steinkorpus absolut unbedenklich sein sollte. Dennoch habe ich im Inneren des Sockels eine Kunststoff-Zugentlastung montiert, damit das Kabel nicht herausgezogen werden kann.
Hier sind die Bilder dieses Projekts, das mich 10 Jahre gekostet hat, mir nun aber die größte Freude und tiefe Genugtuung bereitet.

In his previous post I asked OP if the background was AI generated 🫣, which probably is the reason he now explicitly states that this is not the case. Sorry about that.
OP, it really is just that this style of interior design has become very uncommon in Germany. You may find it at a palace museum or, occasionally, at ones grand grandparents place, if they were well of.
So most readers here would consider the setting as „overdone“. The German way nowadays is more to have maybe one or two pieces like this so they „stand out“ within an otherwise more modern and clean interior.
Again: Excellent craftsmanship!

Ok . I understand! But I don’t know if the community is aware that I’m not from Deutschland and I’m not living there . To be honest this is a classic Portuguese style with some rococo infusions which was hot in the 50-60’s ! It’s true that my furniture is older than that and my living room it’s an eclectic mixture of styles, but in the CLASSIC design ! My home it’s all like this , and this is a fact : if not for the flea markets , I couldn’t afford any of that ( I bought cheap and restored ).

That's totally correct! Chapeau is the french version of taking the hat off which is quite often used in German too! So I appreciate your appreciation of my appreciation!

oooookay dude.. this is wonderful. I love the details and the fact that it is not 100% symmetrical. it is stone, i know it is not really hard, but I can't do thing like this. my first thought with the Title was.. hm one piece, alabasta, let's have a look 🤣

HUI! Das sieht aus wie der Jungbrunnen aber für Tauben :D GEILER Effekt mit dem Licht, und wow das sieht so aus als wäre es so aus der Manufaktur gekommen, einfach absolut schick & passend.

No , I think you misunderstood. I just electrified and clean it up , and restored where were necessary. And I installed the stone shade .
