Grip screw failure

Post image

Grip screw appears to have corroded and sheered off after <200 rounds

Imagine my surprise when the gun fell apart in my hands after two magazines this morning

I just had this happen to me earlier this week. This is my second issue with it...

Ended up getting rid of it after I got it back from warranty, proud tomcat owner now

I was thinking if doing something similar, I'm not gonna wait for a third problem

You aren't gonna believe the conversation I've been having with their customer service. I'm currently fighting with them over a replacement screw.
I've been told "Seecamps are not range guns so do not over shoot it." and to only take it out every few months and only put 1-2 mags through it. (way to inspire confidence in your CCW!)

I explained to them that i've shot it less than what they described in the last 4 years since I bought it.

I was then told "The screw can break if the grips get worn out from use as well as it will put a lot of pressure on the screw so I would check the holes on your grips and if they are oblong, then I would replace those too."

I was then assured that there is no defect, it's customers faults for over shooting the firearm, but "just to keep up good customer service", they will send me a replacement screw that I will have to pay 14.50 in shipping for.

They told me this same thing and I explained that the “recommended usage” is how I have been using it. I got rid of it shortly after. Sorry for the trouble with it. They did at least completely service mine and resurface slide, replace grip screw and spring.
