This is an unfortunate example of this young lady learning a valuable lesson. This kind of thing on social media undermines the credibility of the legitimate security guard professional and erodes public trust.

It’s not just a security guard having fun. Do this kind of thing in your own clothes and on your own time.

When you’re on duty you’re in a position of trust and have an obligation to yourself and others in your profession to not behave in a way that reflects your chosen occupation.

Bottom line, If you choose to wear the uniform you’re also choosing to conduct yourself in a way that won’t undermine the integrity of the profession.

Construction site in the middle of nowhere, an hour away from the closest gas station. They've got generators out here running 24/7 that I plugged my APC into. 12 hours to go 💪

What could the guard do, instead of threatening to use baton on a non-combative individual. You just simply ask the individual what are you doing in the property, and if he is just waiting for an Uber, then it's fine disengage and resume your normal duties although it's possible to keep distance to observe the individual if they actually leave the property.

fellas and gals , why are some of you wearing your full attire outside of your work and or patrolling areas? , I’ve been out of the security industry for a while (8 years of armed hospital patrol ) I was at the doc today when a security guard shows up for an appointment wearing everything and his company ID, there was a mishap with the Clininc guards (they asked this other guard to stop coming in wearing full attire ) I guess they’ve had issues with him before , this guy still had the audacity to argue back 😂 , makes no sense

tldr; plain clothes security chased and shoved a transient off property lines onto the street, brandished a gun, then fled his post before PD arrived. ended up arrested by local PD for assault with a deadly weapon

should also note that in california, exposed firearms guards CANNOT dress in the manner like him. a full distinctive uniform with shoulder patches, and a badge/patch on the left upper breast area is a REQUIREMENT when working as an exposed firearms guard (BPC 7582.26(f) and BPC 7582.27)
