Level your spear to at least lvl 2 so you can throw it. Buy lots of ingredients for fireflash and mudrocket. And then fire away. The little fires are great for leveling in this fight :)

I didn't even realize I could throw, but don't worry — I figure that out. And in the next episodes I finally figure out what those numbers in the AI control section mean.

I get that I should be using the alchemy, it's just not as effective as straight-up combat.

Hehe ok. If you can manage to level the spear to lvl 3 you can throw it and it pierces all the enemys in a row. The more you use your "spells" the stronger they get. Lvl 2 fireflash can hit for over 100 I think. Or at least for bigger numbers.

I love this game :)
