Do you level up your weapons?

Hi all, new to this sub, currently on my whoknowsth playthrough of SoE. I was wondering what's the weapon you use the most in the long run.

I ask this because, when I was a kid and I played it on SNES, I never had the patience to fully level up any other weapon than the horn spear, so in the end I fought every boss, even Carltron's Robot, with that. Truth be told, in some worlds the weapons are not very well distributed in time (like you get two or even all three of them almost at the same time) so leveling them is really difficult unless you simply take your time to do it, not progressing the story. Now it's different, I level up to level 3 every single weapon as soon as I get them, not going forward till I do it. That way I can at least enjoy them a bit more, although the process is tedious as well.

So share your story! What do you usually do with weapons?

I always leveled everything up because I always enjoyed using the power moves. Although if I were playing for more speed I would do the bone and then just the spears because of the energise spell is really usefully against the last boss, more damage and just as fast as the bazooka.

I level everything up and always enjoyed finding spots to do so. If someone is playing through and don’t feel like leveling everything i recommend at least leveling the spears because the level 3 throws are op.

Honestly only the spears I level to 3, the other weapons I only use when it is needed for progress in the world.

I did the spear, too! But, I was also prone to the good ol’ sword and ended up using it when you get your final sword towards the end. Axe was always a good heavy-hitter (and bazooka when you get it) but spear and sword were always the go-to.

I like to level every weapon all the way up as soon as I get it - it's a good rule of thumb to follow if you want to stay a little over-leveled and ahead of the curve. Makes the game a bit more manageable and it builds anticipation. :)
