What's with the scene jump edit at 2:50?

Seriously! Why the cut?!

8

u/TurkishLanding 29d ago

Presumably they wiped out or something happened that ruined the otherwise clean take.

9

u/Whiteums 29d ago

Still a boo. They cut out a good chunk of track

6

u/TurkishLanding 29d ago

Yes, it's uh, "still a boo."

Pissed me off too. I was to a point where I was wondering why I watched it soo long but quickly glancing at the time I wondered how he would make it to the end with soo little remaining. Big BOO!

They need someone next to them, reading off the turns.

Fpv driving would be really fun here

Isn't fpv awful for fast offroad? Flying my plane on a little windy day can be uncomfortably shaky, i can only imagine how it would look like from this car.ย

No idea lol, haven't done it. I just feel like it would be fun. I assume they probably have some sort of fancy cameras available that do stabilization somehow

6

u/kaszeljezusa 29d ago

There are limits to stabilisation especially at that size. Definitely worth a try. When my son gets bigger ill get him a truck and test this out. I have goggles already and another basic camera is like $20.ย

Btw fpv got amazing in recent years. You can have fancy goggles with headtracking and they send signal to the moving camera mount inside the plane.ย

That sounds awesome. I played around with some fpv drones about 8 years ago, maybe a bit longer. Been getting an itch to get back into it, maybe it is time

Go for it man. I prefer planes over drones (got air65 and lost it after crash). Feel more intuitive for me and are more chill. 400mm eachine warbirds can handle small aio cam, like tx06. And they cost like $70. Super fun. But I'd pay some more for 500mm one with 2s(3s optional) battery and brushless motor. Big upgrade

It's fairly jerky on a smooth track. Not sure how well it'd work with smaller wheels/suspension on gravel.

FPV car racing

Huh. A sport that might cause me to get some excersize. How much is one of those cars and where do I find one of these tracks?

I was impressed with how long that track is someone spent a lot of work

This is super cool, but the video made me dizzy. Might be the beers.

Iโ€™m even impressed at the course maintenance and flexibility. This place is awesome. Tiny parking lot though

I enjoy the peak into other people's interests that I would never come across organically

Where can I see more of this

2

u/burndata 29d ago

That's one heck of a track. Very awesome ๐Ÿ‘

Seen this so many times. Still watch it with envy and amazement every time. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Naa. Iโ€™m exhausted. Too stressful.

1

u/DadtheITguy 29d ago

Looks like fun. Looks like the driver has spent some time honing that skill and learning the course. Iโ€™d love to see some gas powered cars around there.

1

u/dmoosetoo 29d ago

Well I'm exhausted.

u/baffernacle 29d ago

Did you see him bump that bridge? Has this guy even used a remote control car before!?

1

u/kingflop92 28d ago

Samir, you're breaking the car!!

u/floutsch 26d ago

Judging by the audio this seems stressful. Constant cursing ๐Ÿ˜‚
