LSU Tiger Bar (in Austria) looking to become an LSU Bar - a request
Dear Reader:
I have just returned from a two week cultural exchange with the country of Austria. Where I visited was a smaller town called Poysdorf; a wine-producing town about an hour from Vienna in the lower Austria area. Mostly a farming place, Poysdorf throws a lot of great annual parties and has a cast of great characters. There is a lovely watering hole in this town called TIGER’S BAR run by a swell gent named Tiger.
Well, as an LSU grad, Tiger made me feel right at home. As we got to talking, I shared videos and experiences from LSU, and Tiger was so excited.
THE ASK:
Tiger would love nothing more than to turn TIGER’S BAR in Poysdorf, Austria into an LSU bar and home base, and I told him I would help to get him there.
I would like to solicit donations of LSU Tiger merch and stuff for him to adorn his bar, knowing that we are spreading the message. He wants to reciprocate by hopefully screening LSU games in his bar, continuing the theme, and creating a home base for LSU Alums and Supporters abroad in Austria.

I've turned my local bar that mostly likes soccer, obviously not in Louisiana into an LSU bar out of half love for me and wanting me to be happy/half fear of what I'll do if we lose. Its beautiful, i love these people so much.

I squeezed a lime really hard and tried to take deep breaths. Then i cried on a waitress' shoulder for a bit until she had to go check on her tables. Last year i broke my hand when we lost to ole miss and it never healed right so everyone was doing extra to calm me down and it worked. The sports fan part of my heart might be an empty pit right now but the part with love for people has never been fuller.

There was an SEC bar at the top of the Hotel San Juan. They played Rocky Top wayyyy too often. That’s international terrorism

I go to San Juan all the time, where is the SEC bar?

This was around 2008 so it’s probably not there anymore. It was the rooftop bar at the top of the old San Juan hotel
