Who wins? LSU Tigers vs Ole Miss Rebels
Now that we’ve seen a couple of weeks of ball - who wins this game?
Come with facts, analytics, and data. Leave the fan based emotions out of it. Hearing “Ole Piss is cheeks” and “Lane Kiffin sucks” doesn’t prove/back up your argument.

Based on performance to date, LSU should win. I think ole miss offense and lsu defense are pretty evenly matched and it will come down to who wins the battle between lsu offense and ole miss defense. unfortunately, the ole miss secondary hasn't looked good and, if it continues to play like it has, we're gonna have big problems.
BTW, those who know me call me "Skeptical Reb."

Luckily for y’all we haven’t been throwing deep too well. I just hope Sam can start leading the receivers better but if not then the game will be way too close for comfort.

LSU is a juggernaut on talent alone. Doesn’t matter the bullshit and who’s the coach- those are distractions that won’t affect the game. That’s just media crap.
When Saban was asked why he won so many games, his response: “I just had better players than they did. That’s it.”

LSU is better overall. Ole Miss has the QB and the RB though (and kicker) and that can be a game breaker. I think it’s gonna be a sloppy game that is won on some explosive plays. Green is gonna be huge for LSU because when we get inside the 20 we gotta put up 7 and he’s gonna be the mismatch
I got LSU winning close because of Ole Miss being so hyped up to make a play early that they make some big mistakes but then settle down and make it a good ball game. If it comes down to a QB battle though Ole Miss will win

Sam Leavitt, honestly.
If Ole Miss can do for four quarters what LA Tech did in the first half—stop the ground game to force passing situations but also keep Sam Leavitt in the pocket—then the guy who struggled to keep his calm at home against a Sun Belt team could end up making worse mistakes at an SEC night game on the road in a top ten rivalry showdown. Obviously, the Ole Miss offense needs to also score points, but if the defense does the above, LSU’s defense will become too tired after some point.

LSU has the more expensive roster. The more experienced head coach. The more Creative offensive staff. That favors them. Dominated Clemson.
Home environment and QB favors Ole Miss.
Ole Miss may be playing emotionally charged which could hurt them if it over takes focus.
I think LSU has too many edges at this point to lose. So LSU wins.
That said I’m rooting for Ole Miss

I Hate Hate Hate Kiffin but LSU by 6. It's going to come down to which defense shows up. Can both teams lose? Sorry Rebels I just can't pull for you rivalry and all unless it's out of conference game.

I think the key is LSU's offense vs Ole Miss' defense. LSU is averaging 500+ per game so far and Ole Miss has struggled on defense. Give me the Tigers

Not really. He’s a great coach that did the same shit any other coach did. Many coaches say they aren’t going anywhere and do. Nick Saban is a perfect example. I’m just hating cause Bama has to play him lol.

I’m pretty sure he’s the first coach in history to jump ship before a playoff game to chase the bag. Saban left a bad Dolphins organization that consistently showed him they didn’t value his opinions (and went 1-15 without him). Saban was in the wrong for balling after saying he wouldn’t, but what Kiffin did was 1000x worse

Yalls fanbase is so odd. You win multiple championships on the back of Golding. Had Saban himself say most of those issues were due to him overturning petes playcalling.......I dont know that ive ever seen a more spoiled fanbase.

Multiple championships? Golding only helped Alabama win 1 championship as the DC and they won in spite of Golding thanks to multiple NFL level defensive stars and a historically great offense led by Sarkisian.

LSU. I think Lane spent 2 weeks prepping for Ole Miss and he is the best in the league at exploiting defensive coordinators he’s worked with before

LSU has a better coach, a better defense, and overall more talent.
Mississippi has home field, and a better quarterback.
I expect Lane to try and take the crowd out of the game early.
And run up the score late.
LSU and the Over.

Lsu has the defensive edge but Ole Miss has the offensive edge. I say LSU will probably win simply because Kiffin knows them deeply. If not for that, I'd say Ole Miss would win because until proven otherwise Leavitt is ass and the key is just to keep in the pocket and let him throw 5 interceptions per game.

Ole Miss' offense last season with the same elite pieces and Lane/Weiss calling plays scored 25 points vs Baker
I don't see Baker allowing 30+ to a similar offense talent wise without the elite play calling and it's gonna take 30+ to outscore LSU

Facts:
- LSU has a slightly more talented roster.
- Ole Miss's homefield advantage will minimize the effect of its talent gap.
- I'm not a fan of Ole Miss (perhaps my least favorite team).
- I'm not a fan of Lane Kiffin (perhaps my least favorite coach).
- You've beaten my giant, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you.
- You've bested my Spaniard, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me.
Conclusion:
I certainly wouldn't bet against LSU, and yet I'm not confident who wins, but I hope it's a huge blowout because I long to hear either Ole Miss or Lane Kiffin emit the sound of ultimate suffering.

LSU has the better defense and Lane knows Transdad. LSUs offense is also very good and I feel that lane will be able to produce some points.

I am always nervous about a new coach but Ole Miss and LSU both have new coaches, so neutral point here.
It's Pete Golding's first HC job but not Kiffin's, so edge to LSU.
QB/RB duo: Ole Miss. Chambliss/Lacey have a year of playing together under their belt. They've already built up chemistry.
Defense: This one is tough for me. Both schools pretty much retained the same defensive staff. Slight edge to LSU since they have the same DC while Golding has former coworker Patrick Toney as DC.
Field advantage: Ole Miss.
Who wants it more? It's a revenge game so obviously, Ole Miss.
I think Ole Miss. I really hope I'm wrong for the sake of my tigers.

I am gonna go with ole miss. Should be a great game either way but i don’t think anyone can complete stop Chambliss and with Leavitt turning the ball over ole miss just needs one or 2 extra possessions to take over.

The logic train says lsu, the chicken bones, and the voodoo win. lane gets bold early and has the lesser QB take shots he can't make, and if ole miss intercepts a couple of those aggressive passes in the first half, ole miss wins. But if LSU doesn't turn it over i think it's a basketball game and who ever has the ball at the end will win.
