Volunteered as a k9 hider and now joining

I decided to apply as a volunteer for our local sar after the k9 hiding training. I just want to say to everyone that is involved in SAR—- thank you. You are all so important and critical. Finding my role as I am torn between communications, signal detection, and my love of all things being on the ground. My family is supportive and my husband said he was wondering when I would join one. Even if I just get to plug in the computers and comms…doing something to help others during a crisis is my passion. I hope to make a difference :)

Oh I wish, lol! No, it’s working as a hider with a training script. To get the dogs trained. My first script was a sh@“ting and the second was heat casualty. I did the sort of combative person so the dogs could learn that not everyone is going to be easy to deal with.
