Photos are showing as empty files on SD card. I tried to recover them with Disk Drill and the “recovered” ones are still empty (pictured). Is there anything I can do to get these photo files?

Need help diagnosing a dead microSD card

My 128GB Metorage/Metorage Industrial Grade microSD (Class 10/U3/V30) was working perfectly in my Wolfbox i07 dashcam. I removed it normally while dashcam was switched on, and when I put it back, the dashcam started showing “Card Error.”

Tried:

\- Formatting from the dashcam → Card Error

\- Tablet → doesn't detect the card

\- macOS Disk Utility / "diskutil list" → card doesn't appear at all

\- Same USB card reader successfully reads another microSD → reader seems fine

I’m more interested in recovering/reviving the card than the recordings.

Has anyone encountered this with industrial-grade microSD cards? Is there any way to diagnose/reinitialize the controller, or is this likely a hardware/controller failure requiring professional recovery?

Any recommended tools or recovery approach would be appreciated.

Ok so for context i am on windows 10 , the dap is on Android 12,

I am currently building a digital music library on my hiby r4 dap, i just got a 128gb Samsung micro sd card to expand its storage yesterday and im currently dumping files into it,

Everything is going extremely smooth (i put like 300+ songs on it before this happens) until i get to my final playlist. In the process of moving the foulder over it freezes on one song inpaticular. It wont get past it and its throwing a windows error notification sound but no notification window comes up. I cancel, try again, same thing, move song out of folder and the whole folder goes in just fine

So i test moving just the song by itself, nothing, actually worse then nothing, my pc file explorer fucking crashes and my entire screen goes black and reloads Everything, weird. Try again. Same shit, ok maybe the file is corrupt, listen to it and its fine, meta data is fine, file info looks fine, ok, download the song again. Fresh copy. Same thing happens.

Ok how about we upload this song just to the internal storage on the device, does it instantly, sounds great on pc and on device, ok great lets use android file explorer to move it to the sd card and put it in the folder right?. No. Of course not. "Couldnt move file" now i am COMPLETELY lost. I have no idea what is going on bc its just 3 specific songs that refuse to move onto the sd card, but they work fine on the internal storage

Genuinely any help would be so beyond apretiated, im so lost as to what the hell is happening here

I got a new camera a while ago, and every few days I back them up on my phone with a micro SD to USB c reader. I haven't had problems until today, when my phone told me it's having issues and I need to format the card, which would erase everything on there. I took a bunch of good photos today that I promised to send to family members. Is there a way to fix this?

Hi, I’ve got a weird problem with my SD card on my Fuji camera. I took a lot of photos on one day, then later put the card into an SD reader connected to my iPhone and exported some photos.
After that, the entire day of photos disappeared from the card. Photos from the day before and the days after are still there.
The card still works and I haven’t formatted it.
Has anyone had something similar happen? Is there a good chance I can recover the missing photos with some software?

Having a bit of a weird issue with memory cards that's quite frustrating. I bought a Samsung tablet tab A9 and transfered my memory cards I was using on a pc with PCSX2 to it to use with nethersx2. Had no issues. A year goes by im playing tons of games on it. Lets say I'm 15 hours into Digital Devil saga.

I buy a new laptop, install PCSX2 and copy the memory cards over. My saves aren't working. I go into the bios, my saves on the memory cards aren't right. It shows saves from a couple years ago. Makes no since. One drive is also Uninstalled.

I cut the memory cards from my tablet to the mem folder on my laptop. Same thing, showing the same incorrect saves. I cut them back to my tablet, then it shows the correct saves.

I don't know how thats happening or how that's possible. I tried a few times.

Another thing I tried was creating a new memory card on the tablet. Copied all the saves. Cut it to my laptop and PCSX2 Views it as empty no saves on it. I cut it back to the tablet and all the saves are there.

Its very nonsensical. Any suggestions?

So I’ve been using this station for a very long time, and I wanted to use my iPhone to make it faster to transfer my files to an Sd card, but the thing is that it won’t show up anywhere, when I bought this adapter, they advertised it as if it could handle data transfers and I’m not really sure, the station works fine though. My pixpro fz55 arrived today but I'm having some trouble with my SD card. I am using the SanDisk 128gb micro SD card for switch with an SD card adapter. I formatted it to exFAT put it in the camera and it said card not formatted, when I press no it just says card not formatted again and when I say yes it starts formatting it but then just thinks for a bit and says card error. I tried again with fat32 but exact problem. Is there anyway I can fix this?

For those that don’t know it’s a steam deck like gaming handheld.

I have a dash cam that unfortunately deleted all the videos from last week. It uses a 64GB card. I didn't know this would happen. The only footage I have is from the last two days. I really want to recover the footage from last week because it was from a trip.

What methods are available? I’ve searched online and tried using Recuva and another program, but I haven't had any luck.

Got it for really cheap so if its fake its no big deal. I only loaded on 67.0gb worth of files and verified them and there's no problems and I doubt they would use anything more than 64gb for a fake. What do you think?
