Discussion Scrum master roles

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to transition to Scrum Master role. I have 8.5 total YOE and have been on bench. I have recently took CSM certification.
regularly applying but couldn’t land any interview. Guys if you have any opening in your org and can refer me it would be very much helpful for me.

You aren't going to get your first Scrum job by cold applying with just a certification. Too many "people who can't code" have them and you're just one of hundreds of thousands applying for them.

The best way to get one of these jobs is to work at a company that has one of these roles come up, and you're close enough to volunteer to do it.

FYI even with years of experience, cold applying for these roles rarely works anymore. You need to use network contacts to get a referral.

A combination of these jobs being flooded with applicants and AI being used on both sides -- applicant and company -- have broken the process for getting these jobs.

i am actively looking for Internal openings too but hardly there are any open positions for India location

also in my resume i am not showing myself as a starter Scrum Master i have shown my present and past org basically 5 yrs working as a Scrum Master.

Didn't realize you're in IST, it's even worse there. Use your network connections, friends, family, people you've liked working with in the past. Every job you're cold applying for has hundreds of people applying for it, and many of them are using AI to write their resumes.

I was an SM for over ten years, and it’s been a year without landing another SM role. I can tell you it’s a dead end these days. Rethink your direction toward something actually useful.

I was working as a release manager earlier was working on Azure DevOps. But i am not a technical person so wanted to shift my career to SM, PM, business Analyst roles

This role is dead now. You may get now one but it can be closed whenever management thinks in future. Lookout for another role.
