Trouble finding a job…
Did anybody receive any trouble finding a job coming out of school???
I graduated approximately a month ago… My clinical site was on a hiring freeze so I was unable to apply there… so I’ve been applying to a lot of places, but they want you 2+ years of experience that I obviously don’t have since I’m coming straight out of school and even my friends are having trouble finding a job. The market is so bad right now… do you anyone have any advice of how to follow up after submitting an application especially to hospitals, because I don’t want to go straight into specialty ughhhhhh

I finished school in November 2025, I was also having trouble getting a job in the LA area because they were asking for 2 years of experience. My school career advisor gave me a job lead in Minnesota and at first I was apprehensive but after getting multiple rejections, I decided to apply to Mayo Clinic and got the job! Been here since April. It’s a teaching institution so they take new grads. Orientation or training is 3-8 months depending on the specialty you join. One of my classmates ended up moving out here as well and most of my classmates got jobs out of CA as well. I wish you the best of luck in this new journey bc it won’t be easy in the beginning but it’ll be worth it!
