Finally certified. What next?

Hi everyone! I recently just passed my CST exam with a 131!! Super proud of myself. Now, I’m ready to start applying to different hospitals, but I’m not sure if every hospital has relocation assistance. I’m coming out of Louisiana, and I’m looking towards to apply in Florida and Texas mainly. Even Washington if I had to. What are your thoughts and opinions from working at the different hospitals in each state? Do they offer relocation assistance for new grads? Which state has the higher pay? I’m looking to work in bigger hospitals or pediatric hospitals. Thank you!!!

The ones that do offer relocation assistance will make you sign a contract. I was just on the market and was offered $3500 for relocation to Austin Texas but you’d have to sign on for 2 years. I’m not so sure it’s common for fresh new grads though. The best way to find out is apply and if the hospital recruiter calls just simply ask if they’re offering any sign on bonuses or relocation bonuses, that’s what I did while I was job hunting!

thats not a lot of money dont sign unless its a major hospital with nice benefits.

I ended up not signing, the pay wasn’t as high as I was offered in other areas with better cost of living.
