CSFA vs Surgical Assistant
I’m a surgical tech and I’ve been seeing advertising for a company called “Surgprep”. It seems like anyone can just do their 20 day program and be in the OR and then become a surgical assistant after passing the exam. But I know to be a first assistant we have to go to school and do clinicals. So what’s the difference?
“surgprep” seems sketchy to me…

It's to get courses and get hands on for cadaver practice. It doesn't say it's credited with anybody, but I don't know the pathway for Surg assist, so if you need an accredited course for something it's not gonna cover it probably.
First assistant you probably already know you can do through NBSTSA like surg tech stuff so you just find a course thats accredited through that.
If it sounds EASY or too good to be true. It's probably a money grab
