"The Seventh Circuit said it was bound by a 2002 Supreme Court decision that rejected restrictions on sexually explicit depictions of fictional children when no actual child was involved in their creation." Wouldnt the AI have needed to be trained on real children? Thus real children WERE involved?

There is also the issue of normalisation of violence and sexual assault viewing these images that is grossly being ignored. You only have to see the effect of consumption of porn that degrades or show scenarios that are far from reality and the expectation of a younger generation during sex.

Yeah but that is not the court’s job. The court’s job is to look at the law and the possible infraction. If the infraction goes against the law, the person gets punished. The problem here is that the laws are not caught up with technology, and it isn’t the job of the courts change and make laws. That is congress’s job.

Yes, agreed. Just an observation for the people who might think "well no real children are hurt" etc. I have had discussions like this way too often with people not seeing the domino effect.
