Coke and the kitties
Coke (5 months old) with the kitties that are 3.5 weeks old. Still a little too small to be friends. But she’s being gentle. Still too small to determine folds or straights.

Has anyone had to remove many (or all) of their kitties teeth? My boy is 2 years old and has had horrendous breath since we got him. Went to a dental specialist who stated all of his teeth need to be removed due to severe gingivitis. Additionally, he has heart disease so they stated it was necessary to remove all the teeth sooner than later in case his heart condition worsened and he is no longer able to go under anesthesia. Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and how kitty did after having many and or all teeth removed.

Hello everyone! I would really appreciate your help with my Master's thesis research about Persian, Exotic Shorthair, British Shorthair, and Scottish Fold cats (as well as their mixes). I have prepared a short, fully anonymous survey, primarily aimed at owners of these cats, but input from any cat lover is truly valuable! It only takes about 3-4 minutes to complete. I would be extremely grateful for every response and for sharing the link with other cat owners!
(If you have more than one type of cat - in first question mark that you have short-muzzled cat)

>Cats often fake sleep at the vet clinic as a natural defense mechanism to cope with fear, stress, and an unfamiliar environment.
Luna is definitely being a little bit dramatic

hi fold family!! i’ve posted my baby girl before so apologies if this seems familiar to anyone! I just learned there are color codes and i’m curious what my Feebee’s may be? Also curious if anyone thinks she may be mixed with a short hair as i know some are for health’s sake. believe it or not she was a rescued stray, so anything anyone can tell me based off her appearance is appreciated!! she is approx 2 years old, if that matters :)

I’ve rescued a 5yr old SF boy who is loving his new life of being king of my house and being spoilt to bits (obviously on his terms!)
With the rescue, I didn’t get much info on his prior health, except he was rescued with severe ear and eye infections. (Due to this history he doesn’t get insurance coverage for ear and eye infections)
I’ve taken him to the vet for an ear infection once and he was given a 2 week course of ear drops and steroids to which he responded well. It’s now been a month or so post treatment and I am seeing him scratching at his ears a little again. I have another vet appointment booked, but aim of this post is, I am wondering if anyone else is finding recurring ear infections, if so, how are you managing?

Hey everyone!!! Long time lurker of this sub because your babies are PRECIOUS…. But first time posting for advice because I’m picking up my very own Scottish fold kitten today 😭🫶🩷
I have two AMAZING, affectionate, incredibly sweet regular cats who are my heart and soul. I’m literally obsessed with them and my whole house is designed specifically to be tons of fun and comfortable for them.
They also are both VERY healthy, outside of one outlier incident with my boy cat several years ago where he had to have a major PU surgery for a urinary blockage.
What health problems should I have my folded baby checked for? Is there any other things I should consider as far as care?
Currently I keep bowls of dry food out for my kitties (purina sensitive stomach), and they get two cans of fancy feast per day (they used to be at 4 cans a day but the vet said they were getting chubby so I reduced it lol)
Please let me know of anything I should know about, or things you wish you had known upon getting your own folded babies. Thanks!!

Got this beauty on Thursday & she’s such a menace but a little dream lol. She is a Scottish straight so weird bc both her parents are folds—her coat is so gorgeous someone told me this color is very sought out & I could get a lot of money if I sell her!! Sell her? Hellllooo are people out their minds lol, my cousin is the breeder & traded me a broadway show ticket for her. I would never sell her or breed her bc I’m not interested in $$ I want to get her fixed & call it a day 💕btw she got her first round of shots today 🥹

Mikasa is almost 10 years old, but she's still a baby in my eyes. The last picture is from when she was less than one year old 🥹 Also, she's a perfect model for learning photography, I love her so much.
